Want a little extra sleep or running late from work and after school pick-ups? Call on me for that early morning or evening walk! Going out of town for the long weekend? Let me be you and your pet’s personal homebody! Hi there! My name is Annie and I got slightly obsessed with dogs in elementary school - hogging the library's 2 inch thick dog breed encyclopedia and spending my tooth fairy savings on on "how to care for a puppy" books at the school book fair. When I found out most of my third grade classmates had middle names and I did not, I even started writing "Doglover" as mine on all my homework 😛 Due to family complications, we were never able to adopt a pup of our own, but I have been entrusted to walk and dogsit for friends' and acquaintances' dogs over the years, in my family home in the east bay, in college and post-grad apartments in Northern California and NYC, and around the Bay Area these past few years on Rover. If I sound like a potential fit for your pet care needs, please feel free to reach out! PS. unfortunately I am allergic to cats and am not able to provide care if you also have a cat 😿
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
If I am coming to your home, I usually meet with you in-person beforehand for a tour so I can be familiar with the home layout, locations of important supplies, and overall, provide safe and thoughtful services. I will ask you about and note where to access your pet’s food, water, treats, and medicine (if applicable), as well as care and cleaning supplies. To ensure that I respect and take good care of your home, I will confirm logistics for getting in and out, as well as security precautions like turning on alarms.

Annie bonded with Maverick and spent time both playing and walking him. She really is so attentive and great with pets!
Annie did an amazing job housesitting our two dogs while we were out of state visitng family and friends. She sent many updates and photos, was incredibly prompt and courteous, and gave us the gift of peace of mind while away from our pups - which is something that's hard for me! We will certainly be booking Annie again and I encourage others to consider Annie when looking for execllent pet care.
I would highly recommend Annie. She is very professional and trustworthy. Annie came on time, and my dog loved her! When I was out, Annie would send me photos of my dog just as I requested. Thank you Annie!!!
Annie was wonderful for drop-ins on my pup while I was out of the country. Always gave me a detailed update that let me know Olivia was well taken care of every day. And sent pictures, of course 🥰 Would trust her again in a heartbeat.

Schedule
Besides providing pet-care, I work in-person, 9 to 5pm, Monday through Thursday in Oakland. My general availability/main offerings are: - Mon-Thu: walks or drops-in’s early morning before 8AM, or evenings after 7pm - Fri -Sun: full day house-sitting (eg. For a weekend trip) I have also house-sat for longer periods, beyond a weekend stay if pets are able to be home alone for the length that I need to be in-person at my other job (approximately 8-6pm, depending on location and length of commute)
Prices include all fees.
