As of this moment my apartment would need me to pay each month to have a pet so I can’t house your pet, however I am perfectly capable of taking you pet on a car ride or walk to anywhere in the area (a park, lake, etc) as well as I am able to spend my time at your residence and walking them around the area. I am able to feed, play with, exercise, lightly train, as well as medicate as you would like. If wanted I can also do nail trims for an extra cost! I can provide your furry friend with a loving, playful, and enriching experience!

Information Annie S. would like to know about your pet

Their attitude towards certain situations such as with other pets, people, and kids as well as any known fears to avoid. Any known allergies as well as medications or treatments currently used on the animal. It would be nice to know if there any favorite toys or treats to make our time easier together. Lastly, a quick run down of any commands your animal knows as well as any/the most typically used hand or body gestures used to indicate them to your furry friend!

A typical day

I love to stimulate their minds with games and puzzles as well as add in exercise using obstacle courses. Adding in activity through walks and playing with toys will be a constant as well as some time for some good pets and positive reinforcement through treats and encouraging words. I like to practice any tricks they may know to continue using their brain and helping them remember as well as trying to introduce anymore (with the owners approval). I enjoy taking pets to parks in order to expand their knowledge of new smells and objects as well exposure to other people and pets (with owner approval). I also enjoy taking pets to water access (with owner approval) as it can be great learning, exposure, exercise, and fun for you furry friend!! Lastly, I enjoy teaching and encouraging careful and rewarded exposure to any known fears, if you have a pet with a fear you would like them to overcome, using exposure and positive reinforcement I can help teach them to not have the fear anymore!

Pet care experience

I have worked in professional settings such as pet hospitals and volunteered at humane societies and wildlife centers for over 10 years. I have grown up taking care of mine and other families pets since I was a child on my farm and have lots of knowledge and hands on experience through studying and practicing as a CVT. I have a love for animals and is what I am pursuing as a career.

Annie did a great job checking in on our two cats over a weekend we were going to be gone for long periods of time. I appreciate knowing they got some attention and care while we were away.

I felt very confident leaving my home and two cats in Annie's care. My cats are in the process of being introduced, i.e. living separately, and Annie was dedicated to spending time with both and being mindful of the gates, separate feeding and meds, etc. It's no small feat! I booked Annie for two drop-ins prior to our trip so the cats could get acclimated to her and she could see how things work, and she was a clear communicator in getting that scheduled during already busy weeks. Annie provided lots of updates over our long weekend with pictures. In addition, I found my home just as tidy and clean as I left it. I feel very lucky to have booked Annie.

Annie was great as always! She did a long stay for us and it went fantastic. She even threw a little gotcha day party for our dog since we were gone for it! Thanks Annie.
