Information Annie L. would like to know about your pet

How severe is their separation anxiety? Do they get along with strangers walking by? Are there specific commands to engage during a walk in the event of passing by a fellow dog? How do they react to squirrels, trash, and loud noises? What is done (training-wise) when coming up at the crosswalk or streetlight?

A typical day

Training, behavior modifications, and the dog park if an owner wants me to engage their four-legged friend at the Forest Park Dog Park in Forest Park, IL. These are standard procedures if the dog is identified as unruly or high energy. A gentle-lead would be implemented for the safety of the handler and ease of the walk session. If a large breed dog has a tendency to pull then a step-in harness will be implemented if the owner does not already own one.

Pet care experience

I see a dog equivalent to a human's mental and emotional state of mind. I will be patient and provide individual services to cater to their needs. I will never rush a dog into something that is uncomfortable or unfamiliar. I am the type of worker who provides 100% honesty and effort into whatever I am doing. I enjoy providing the love and care all four-legged friends deserve. I am an avid dog-lover who dedicates her time more with dogs than humans. I believe misbehaving dogs can be disciplined in a humane manner that is acceptable to handlers and their dog. I will never do any actions deemed cruel or abusive in the eyes of a dog or human. I consider myself the passionate dog whisperer mindset. Wag on humans!

We did not have a good experience booking with Annie. Our agreed upon care standards were not met and we had to cx vacation one day in to turn around and come home and care for our dogs. This occurred despite having a meet and greet a week prior to discuss care. We have a puppy who needs to be let out every few hrs. Annie left the puppy crated for over 7 hrs during the day despite being at the house with her for 3 of those hrs. She did not give her a potty break during that time. She then did not crate our other dog when she left per his norm as she said she "overlooked" him. When she returned after several hrs again in the evening, they were only out of their crates for 10 min. When prompted she let them out that evening for a longer period of time. We asked her to go with the dogs outside to monitor the puppy and pick up poop since it is a small backyard where they run and play. She repeatedly did not go out with them. I had to explicitly regive these instructions after an entire day of them not being followed and ask that the dogs be out for at least an hr before bedtime. She told us she would leave for several hours for other dog walking jobs. This would have been fine but the time away was much longer and more frequent than communicated. When we arrived home my dog had a hangnail and had bled all over the couch and had clearly been put in his crate with a bloody paw. We were not notified of this and it was not cleaned up. While she was apologetic when corrected, we still could not trust the dogs were taken care of the rest of the week. We did not want to micromanage from afar. We were honestly worried sick and on top of that lost a lot of reservation fees from our vacation.
