Annie H. has grown up surrounded by animals her whole life, and her love for them is the real thing. From her early years adoring our Weimaraner Norman, to helping raise our two rescues — Moose, a 90-pound pit-mastiff mix, and Gretyl, a 38-pound beagle mix we brought home during COVID — Annie has been hands-on every step of the way. She feeds them, bathes them, walks them, drives them to vet appointments, and has become their unofficial photographer (and favorite person). Yes, she has absolutely cared for our pets, and she does it with joy. What makes Annie an awesome human being goes well beyond animals. She's a Dean's List junior at CU Boulder, an avid hiker, and someone who genuinely thrives on being active — which means your dog will actually get that long, energetic walk they've been dreaming of. She's been responsible in ways most adults would envy: since her club soccer days at 11, she's handled her own laundry, managed the house solo while my husband and I travel (mail, packages, tidiness — all covered), and has always been a reliable, careful driver and student. Annie brings a huge heart, a calm and capable presence, and a lifetime of genuine experience with dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I'm sure should would be just as loving with cats, if we would have said "yes" to her multiple asks to have one. Any pet would be lucky to spend time with her, and any pet owner would be lucky to have her.
