Pet care experience

A comfy home to spoil your baby!

I started out caring for foster dogs and then began boarding dogs through Rover in 2022. I love learning about dog behavior and enrichment, and enjoy dogs of all breeds! I’m comfortable reading canine body language and always prioritize each dog’s comfort and boundaries. I have a special soft spot for senior dogs and rescues. We are dog-lovers and love being able to welcome canine guests into our home and give them the attention and care they deserve. My goal is to create a calm, cozy, and enriching environment where dogs can truly relax and feel at home. I understand that being away from their family can be stressful, so I do everything I can to help them feel safe and happy, just like they’re my own.

Annie watched our two boxers for us while we were in town visiting with family. She was communicative leading up to the stay, and kept us updated with pictures during the stay. Both pups seemed to be enjoying themselves while they were at Annie's house.

Annie and her daughter were AMAZING with our Golden Retriever. She sent us nightly updates and he had a great time! We are so thankful for them and we know he can’t wait to go back!

Annie is a terrific sitter. She took great care of our dog including daily walks and an update with photos each evening. Best of all, she and her daughter showered the dog with genuine affection. We were very pleased with her care.

Annie was amazing! She sent daily updates with photos. I never worried about the dogs the entire time. She made sure she had everything she needed with our older dog's medications and our younger dog's play habits. We will be using Annie again when we aren't able to travel with the dogs in the future!

Schedule

I’m home during the week and many days I’m barely away at all. Occasionally I may be out for a few hours (sometimes up to around 5–6 hours), but I try to keep alone time limited and consistent with each dog’s needs.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fully fenced (4-foot) backyard for safe outdoor time, and dogs are always supervised while outside. For added security, I also have a long line available if needed. My home is as dog-proofed as possible, and I use baby gates when needed, especially for dogs who are not comfortable being crated. I can provide crates, beds, bowls, and a variety of toys, including chews like Nylabones and Benebones. I also love offering enrichment activities and am happy to offer Kongs and treat puzzles to keep dogs mentally engaged and happy! I do have an 10-year-old child, so I’m only able to host dogs who are comfortable and friendly with children.

A typical day

I try to tailor the day to each dog’s individual needs and energy level. I am happy to include up to two walks and I live in a large, walkable area. I love spending time outside in the yard as well, whether just hanging out or throwing a ball, or even getting out the doggie pool in summer. I try to provide plenty of mental enrichment, like treat puzzles, interactive toys, games, and of course lots of time to sniff and explore outdoors. Fresh water is always available, and I only use a crate if that’s your preference. When I do step out, I leave calming music or television on. Dogs are welcome on the furniture and are encouraged to stick to their usual routines, including sleeping wherever they’re most comfortable.

The more you want to let me know, the better! I do have stairs to the front and back door, so it's important a dog can handle at least 5 stairs if they can't be carried. Please let me know about any medical needs or food sensitivies/allergies. Any info about your dogs personality/temperament and routine is appreciated. And of course any training or commands you would like me to practice with your pup!
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
