I typically only board one dog at a time so I can focus on your pet. He or she will be treated as one of our own and fully integrated into the daily routine. He/she will be crated overnight and when I'm out, as our dogs are and given a predictable schedule. It's possible there will be even a foster dog here for part or all of your dog's stay.

Pet care experience

I’ve lived with animals my entire life and have experience caring for a wide range of species, including dogs, cats, horses, rodents, snakes, lizards and birds. Growing up with so many different animals taught me how to read body language, understand individual needs, and create a calm, predictable environment where animals feel secure. I typically only take one boarder at a time so I can focus on your pet's comfort and safety. I’ve been obedience‑training my own dogs since childhood, and for more than 15 years I’ve fostered with Operation Paws for Homes. During that time, my husband and I have welcomed more than 200 dogs into our home and helped them find families of their own. This work has given me extensive hands‑on experience with canine body language, behavior assessment, medicine administration and helping dogs settle safely and comfortably into a new space.. Your pup will be integrated right in with our three personal dogs and three cats. They have all "fostered" along with me and are well-suited to show your dog the ropes. Your pup will be afforded lots of potty breaks, plenty of supervision, numerous naps and a dependable schedule. Your dog will be cared for with the same attention and reliability I bring to rescue work—safe, steady, and experience‑driven.

Annette is the best! I actually hesitate to leave a review because I don't want all of her spaces to fill up! Your dog will be welcomed into the fold and Annette will ask you about - and then pay attention to - their needs. She has been fostering for so long, she has literally seen everything – and can deal with everything. Teddy had a great time, and I left with new insights into her behaviors. Annette is a gem.

Words cannot express my satisfaction having Annette look after Axel. Learning of her experience with fosters it was a no brainer to book with her. My experience dropping off and picking up, seeing her interact with my boy and hearing how she handled situations with him, solidified she will be my go to sitter. It was wonderful peace of mind to know Axel would be taken care of in a lovely home environment.

I cannot recommend Annette enough! She is wonderful with all animals. Thoughtful, intentional, loving; she understands their needs but provides structure and guidance that they need to thrive. I have known Annette for over 15 years and trust her completely. You will be thrilled with the care she provides and your fur baby may come back to you a better listener when you pick them up and probably with another trick and command they learned as an extra bonus.

Annette has cared for our cat and dogs for over 15 years, and we highly recommend her. She is kind, dependable, and great with animals. Annette and her husband also volunteer with a pet rescue organization and have fostered many dogs over the years. They have a lot of experience and genuinely care about the animals they work with. Annette is especially good with dogs who need help adjusting to life in a home, and she handles them with patience and consistency.
