Hi, My name is Annette, and I’m a 62 year old English lady who lives in the Valkenboskwartier area of Den Haag. I’ve been living here for 15 years. I have my own small business walking dogs, registered with the KvK. I board small dogs up to 15kg in my house, and have a soft spot for senior dogs, including those with dementia. I also love cats and have been feeding and sitting them for friends and acquaintances for the last seven years. I was a sitter for Cat in a Flat for 5 years before the site was taken over by this platform, Rover. I’m happy to communicate in English or Dutch.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
Dogs live as part of the family in my home. There is only my husband and myself, so it is not a busy household. I take a maximum of three small dogs at a time. I do not use a crate unless you specifically ask me to do this. If I am at your home, your pets safety is the top priority. I will ask you if your pet is liable to try and run out of the house, and where they would be likely to go if they did. I will take utmost care to ensure doors and windows are kept open or shut, as instructed.

Annette is a fantastic catsitter. We had some misfortune during our holidays with a water leakage. She made sure our cats were safe and secure while repairs were going. Wouldn't know what could have happened if she hadn't shown up.

This was my first booking with a pet sitter, and I can honestly say I was very satisfied! Annette took a really good care of my cat and kept me updated throughout her visits with messages and photos. Knowing that Marcipan was in such good hands allowed me to relax completely while I was away. I would definitely book with her again in the future. 😊

Schedule
I have my own small scale dog walking business. The majority of dog owners want their dogs walking after 10 am. This means that I have plenty of time to take care of cats and other small animals at the beginning and end of the day. I’m usually at home at the weekend, so visits then are no problem.
- CatsAnnette can host up to 1 drop-in per day
- You need to let me know if your pet has any history of illnesses and what medication they take. Please tell me any signs or symptoms I need to look out for, and tell me which vet to take your pet to. I’ve got plenty of experience with elderly dogs and cats, including dogs with dementia. Seniors have a special place in my heart and I will ensure that they have a safe place to go to if there are younger dogs in my house. As I have had a broken knee, I only take dogs up to around 15kg, with a preference for small dogs under 10kg.
