I am a NAPPS (National Association of Professional Pet Sitters) and Fear Free Certified pet sitter. I have been the guardian for many pets, ranging from cats and dogs to hamsters, turtles, and parakeets, for decades. I have experience caring for all ages of felines and canines from young puppies and kittens, to senior cats and dogs with medical issues. I currently have three large dogs and two cats, and I foster dogs for several local rescue groups. I'm a very active outdoorsy person and I love to run with my dogs canicross-style. I would be more than happy to take your high-energy pup for a run on the trails in Patapsco if you so wish. While I am not a professional dog trainer or behaviorist, I have acquired a lot of knowledge about canine behavior and positive rewards based training methods by reading books and participating in online training courses and I put that knowledge in practice with my own dogs and foster pups daily. I am also a member of a local dog rescue's behavioral training team working alongside with professional behavior consultants with shelter dogs. If you have any concerns about some behavioral aspects of your dog, I may be able to give you some suggestion of how to work through the problem and also work with your pup while I care for them.

Safety, trust & environment
I can walk or run with your dog up to an hour and I am happy to drive your dog to a nearby park for a walk/run to provide a different experience than their regular walks in the neighborhood. If your dog prefers to stay in the back yard and play fetch or tug, I'm on board with that as well. For your cat, I can clean their litterbox, feed, and play with them, or just hang out and have them sit on my lap if that's what you prefer. I always like to get to know each individual pet's preferences and follow their lead to their favorite activities.

Phenomenal caretaker. Took excellent care of my dog, cats, and plants for one week while I was out of the country. Visited my house twice a day and provided detailed reports with pics after each visit, so I knew they were all doing well. Highly recommend.

Schedule
I am currently working at my regular day office job Monday through Friday, but can watch your pet or take them for a run/walk on weekend afternoons when I have open availability after about 12pm.
