About Anne S.
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
I currently provide care in my clients’ homes, where pets can remain comfortable in their familiar surroundings and routines. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions for walks, meals, playtime, potty breaks, and companionship. I take time to learn each pet’s personality, preferences, and needs, keep their space tidy, and send photos and written updates after every visit. All dog walks are private and on leash. At this time, I do not offer care in my own home, overnight stays, transportation, or medication administration.
Information Anne S. would like to know about your pet
Is your dog a ball dog or a stick dog? I'd like you to be comfortable telling me all about your dog's personality, strengths, and quirks. For example, my dog abhorred traffic cones, for some reason. Be comfortable knowing that when I know that, we will avoid traffic cones. Please share any health concerns, allergies, mobility needs, escape tendencies, leash reactivity, bite history, or behavior around people and other animals. I’ll also need feeding and potty instructions, approved treats, walking preferences, veterinarian and emergency contacts, and anything else that will help your pet feel safe and comfortable in my care. At the end of the day I want your pet to love me.
A typical day
Let's check out new smells! I tailor activities to each pet’s personality, energy level, and normal routine. Depending on what they enjoy, we might take a sniff-filled neighborhood walk, play fetch or tug, practice simple commands with you-approved treats, enjoy puzzle toys, or have plenty of cuddles and quiet companionship. For senior or more reserved pets, I’m happy to slow things down and provide gentle attention at their pace. My goal is to make every visit safe, engaging, and something your pet looks forward to as much as I look forward to seeing your pet!

Pet care experience
I am an insured pet care professional, and I bring the same kindness and thoughtfulness I would want someone to show my own pet. What sets me apart is that I’m dependable, attentive, and very detail-oriented. I take the time to learn each pet’s personality and routine, carefully follow your instructions, and keep you updated with plenty of photos and notes. My goal is simple: to help your pet feel safe, comfortable, loved, and genuinely well cared for whenever they’re with me. I cared for my own dog, Charlotte, for 10 years—from her puppy stage through her senior years—so I understand how much a dog’s needs can change over time. My experience with puppies began even earlier, when a neighbor who bred dogs trusted me to help care for her newborn litters. I understand the patience, consistency, and routine puppies need, including reinforcement of potty training, basic commands, leash manners, and good habits. I also know that senior dogs may need slower walks, extra time, and someone who pays attention to the little changes.
