Availability
I am self employed, an outside contractor, so my schedule isn’t completely flexible, but I usually have advanced notice as to when I’ll be needed, as well as the flexibility to decline the work if need be. Covid has reduced the amount of work available to me, so now I have plenty of time most days. And even if my calendar says I’m unavailable on a particular day, it may only be a block of 3 or 4 hours that I’m truly unavailable, but I’m around the rest of day, so don’t hesitate to ask! As far as house sitting, I may not be the MOST available, but I didn’t want to completely rule it out. Would be considered on an individual basis. Thanks!

Information Anne R. would like to know about your pet
Of course let me know if your pet has any special needs or circumstances that need to be avoided, and how they react to people, esp children, and other dogs and animals in general. I honestly don’t have a lot of experience with aggressive dogs and dogs that may need a muzzle in public, that kind of thing, or extraordinarily large dogs, so I would prefer to avoid those situations. But, as always, it would be considered on an individual basis.
A typical day
I just love to love on animals. I talk to my pets allll the time and they each have voices when they “answer back”! I will love to snuggle and even brush your babies, play with toys or run around the yard if applicable. As well as walks of course. I love walking in the Swarthmore College woods, or just around friendly neighborhoods.

Pet care experience
I grew up with pets, and have always been drawn to animals. Did some pet sitting in my teens, as well as babysitting and some house sitting. Got my first pet (a gray tabby) as an adult with kids in 1999, and the love has just grown from there. My daughter started pet sitting for friends and neighbors as a child and I would go along and help or go by myself if she had soccer or something else unavoidable. Was recommended to a neighbor who had a new poodle puppy and I took care of him for about 8 months. He was so cute! Right now, I have a three cats, and the world’s oldest leopard gecko 🥰

Anne went above and beyond caring for our dog. He’s shy and tends to be nervous with new people, but she handled him with so much patience and kindness. She took the time to gently coax him down the stairs and help him feel safe going outside. It was clear she really understood his needs. We came home to a calm, happy dog, and we’re so grateful. We will absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her.
We have worked with Anne multiple times. She is reliable, communicative, flexible, and great with our cats! Recommend her highly! She even dropped in on short notice on a holiday when we weren’t expecting to need a sitter. Thanks Anne!
