Pet care experience

I never boarded my dogs. No way.

Make your summer plans and hit me up. My calendar is filling up. I split my time between Santa Barbara, California and Lake LeAnn, Somerset Center, Michigan. If there is any confusion please private message me and as "Will you be in Michigan for The 4th of July” as a regular customer just did. I see myself as a step-in-parent but for your cat or dog while you are away! I live near a few parks...so walks are a given! I mainly do walks and house-sitting in SB. If I leave the house...your pup, 99% of the time, comes with me. Time for sleep, I'm hoping that your pup/kitty is immediately close by! I used to be a nurse, I am a Chiropractor...I can handle multi-tasking. My goal is for you to enjoy your event and not worry about your pup or cat. I do believe that is the idea in the first place. Have fun! YOU send ME pictures of your event/trip/wedding...and I'll show the pups! So have fun on your vacation: I've got this!

Wow!!! Anne was absolutely amazing. She communicated with us throughout the whole process and sent us great pictures and videos showing us the love and spoiling she did with our dogs. She went above and beyond her duties with cleaning and watering at our house. She was wonderful and we will definitely book her again! Our dogs loved her and so did we!

Drop-In Visits • Aug 08, 2026

Anne is a wonderful person and an excellent pet sitter. She is friendly, warm, funny and very professional. From our first meet and greet I felt confident and safe having her come into our home while we were on vacation to take care of our two kitties. Anne sent us pictures and videos of Me B and Miss Kitty happy and playing. Even shy Mr B came out to have some fun. I cannot recommend Anne enough. Five stars.

House Sitting • Jun 28, 2026

This was our first time leaving our dogs for a week with a pet sitter. Ann couldn’t have taken better care of them, especially our senior pug. We received photos and videos while away. I have rebooked Ann for another vacation in the fall. Julie

Anne was great!! Our prior-scheduled dogsitter had to cancel a few days prior to our scheduled time away due to a family emergency, but Anne was willing to watch Seany last minute. She was great with Seany, and Seany seemed to do very well and had a good time with Anne. I highly recommend Anne.

Anne took great care of our special needs pup for 12 days. Our dog needs medication daily, and also had a cast on one of her legs. Anne was not fazed by any of that. It was such a relief to be able to go on our trip and not worry about our pup. We got regular updates and drop off and pick up was easy. Thank you Anne!

Anne is the best dog sitter we have ever had. She cared for our dogs like they were family. She shared pictures and videos with wonderful narratives. Her loving nature with our dogs made our vacation even more enjoyable.

Schedule

I am currently working part time so I am around quite a bit. Almost 100% when at my house as I don’t want to come back to a nervous pup and a destroyed couch. Pets are more comfortable in their own environment so if I am watching your crew at your house then I feel more comfortable meeting friends for dinner knowing that they are comfortable.

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has an unfenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has no pets
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs not allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I talk to myself and your pup (and cats) out loud so they know that I am there and giving them attention. (I’d bet that you do, too!) I follow your instructions with good intentions. Day before you are expected home, I start telling them that you are on your way! Sometimes, I serious think they understand “your parents are coming home tomorrow”.

A typical day

Swimming in the lake or the creek that runs through the local park. Nature walks, car rides...boat rides in summer and snow walks in winter.

Cats
0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
41 to 100 lbs
Unspayed females accepted, neutered males only
No females in heat
Anne can host up to 2 pets per night
I love small fluff balls and active independent dogs. I appreciate most dogs but not entirely a fan of boxers (sorry) German shepherds or...pitbulls. Although, I do have a boxer/pit mix as a private customer so pass anything by me and we'll see. IMPORTANT: If you have a private party that you are waiting on to watch your dogs while you are away then please wait until you hear from your friend before contacting Rover sitters. Our calendar temporarily updates and makes us unavailable until we -you and I-come to a decision to book or not book. This is a high demand season and most of us would appreciate your considering us in your decision-making process. IF your dog is an active sort go with an active sitter (me) If your dog is an escape artist then, by all means, go with a sitter who can chase him or her in the event that the escape is successful (me). If your pet is a senior and requires medical care who better than a nurse? (ME:) ) If you'd rather a "college student who is in need of beer money" then by all means leave your animal in the care of a person who is in it for the money and beer. No lie. A potential customer just gave that explanation to me when telling me why she chose to have her senior animal cared for by another sitter. "...beer money". Quality first.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
