Your Dog’s New Best Friend! 🐾

I’m a lifelong dog lover and currently mum to an 18-month-old golden retriever called Dudley – so I’m no stranger to energetic pups, muddy walks, and cuddles on the sofa! Having raised Dudley from 8 weeks old, I have hands-on experience with crate training, recall, lead walking, and managing all the typical puppy behaviours. What sets me apart is that I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pet with someone else – I treat every dog like they’re my own. Whether it’s a gentle stroll for an older pup or playtime in the garden for younger dogs, I tailor my care to suit each pet’s needs. I work part-time on a rota which gives me lots of flexibility across the week for drop-ins, walks or dog sitting. I’d love to help give you peace of mind while you’re away or at work!

Annabel looked after our dog Honey for a week whilst we were on holiday. As Honey can be nervous it was great to see how happy she was with Annabel, who sent lots of photos and kept us informed as to how she was getting on. I would definitely recommend Annabel and will be sure to book with her to look after Honey again in the future.

Annabel saved our day! She was available on short notice for a walk with our Spotty. She kept us updated sending pictures and messages. She is experienced, friendly, reliable and excellent choice for anyone needing a great dog walker.

Annabel walked our dog Frankie while we were away on holiday. We always felt kept in the loop and Frankie was clearly very happy. We’d definitely love to have her walk him again!

No problems leaving my little puppy with Annabel, he was a bit shy but she managed to coax him to the toilet and give him cuddles which is what we wanted. I am.sure he will come out of his shell the more often she visits!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine as I work from home, which allows me to provide plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I have a flexible lunch break and can easily schedule walks, toilet breaks, feeding times, play sessions, and cuddles around my work commitments. Whether it’s dog walking, pet sitting, or boarding, I ensure pets receive regular exercise, affection, and a consistent routine. Working from home means they are rarely left alone and can enjoy a calm, safe, and comfortable environment throughout their stay.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or yours. I always take the time to understand each pet’s routine, preferences, and any special needs before looking after them, so they feel safe and settled in my care. When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure to follow your instructions to the letter – from feeding schedules and medication to favourite toys and walk routes. I keep things calm, consistent and reassuring, just like you would. In my own home, I have a secure garden for playtime, a dog-friendly space inside, and of course, Dudley the golden retriever who loves a companion (if your dog is happy to socialise). I introduce dogs slowly and safely to make sure everyone is comfortable. Whether it’s a short drop-in or a full day of care, I’ll keep you updated with regular messages and photos so you know your pet is happy, safe and loved

Pets

A typical day

A typical day will be tailored to each pet’s individual needs, routine, and energy levels. The day usually starts with a morning toilet break and walk, followed by breakfast and some playtime or relaxation. Throughout the day, pets will have regular opportunities for exercise, enrichment, and companionship, with plenty of attention as I work from home. For dogs, activities may include walks in local parks, sniffing adventures, games of fetch, tug toys, and interactive play to keep them mentally and physically stimulated. I also enjoy practising basic training and reinforcing positive behaviours with owner-approved rewards. For pets staying in my home, there will be plenty of opportunities for cuddles, relaxation, and companionship in a safe and comfortable environment. I provide regular updates and photos so owners can see how their pets are getting on. My aim is to make every pet feel happy, secure, and loved while maintaining as much of their normal routine as possible.

Before looking after your dog, I’d love to know a few things to help make their time with me as comfortable and safe as possible: • Are they trained in basic commands (recall, sit, stay)? • How are they around other dogs — friendly, nervous, reactive? • Do they have any behavioural quirks or habits I should be aware of? (e.g. chewing, jumping, resource guarding) • Are there any triggers that cause stress (e.g. loud noises, bikes, other animals)? • What’s their routine like — feeding times, walk preferences, rest times? • Are they crate trained or used to being left alone for short periods? • Any allergies, health concerns or medication? The more I know ahead of time, the better I can tailor their care and make sure they feel happy and settled with me!
