Qualified Animal Carer
I have a City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Animal Management, during this course I learned about range of things involving animal care, behaviour and first aid. I have cared for animals throughout my life, growing up with dogs, cats, and guinea pigs. I have completed several volunteer placements in animal care, including a year-long placement at a small animal boarding facility where I walked dogs and carried out daily husbandry for a range of small animals. I am currently on a gap year and will be starting a Zoology degree at the end of September 2026. I am passionate about animal welfare and eager to continue gaining practical experience in animal care.

Safety, trust & environment
I offer local dog walks, taking one dog at a time to ensure they receive my full attention and a safe, enjoyable walk tailored to their needs. I also provide drop-in visits in your home, where I can feed your pet, refill their water, give them company and playtime, and make sure they're happy and comfortable while you're away. I always follow your pet's usual routine and any specific instructions you provide to help them feel safe and settled.

Annabel has looked after and walked my dog on many occasions, she’s caring, responsible and attentive with both dogs and cats. She’s very kind, patient and genuinely loves spending time with animals. I wouldn’t hesitate to trust her with my dog and would highly recommended her.
Annabel looked after my cat (Lucy) while I was away. She fed her and topped up her water bowl each time she came and also stayed to sit and play with her which was very kind as it made Lucy very happy but also allowed her to trust Annabel more and feel safer while I was away. I would highly recommend Annabel to everyone 🙂

Schedule
I’ve recently returned home from travelling and will be starting university (while still living at home) at the end of September 2026. I currently have a flexible schedule, which means I have plenty of time to fit dog walks and drop-in visits into my daily routine. From September, I’ll be at university on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, so my availability will be more limited on these days. Outside of my university hours, I’m still able to offer walks and visits where my schedule allows. I’m happy to work around your pet’s usual routine wherever possible, so they can receive the care, attention and exercise they need.

Please let me know about their typical behavioural traits, what they’re like on and off the lead, and anything that may help me understand or communicate with them. It’s also helpful to know which words or commands they respond best to, what treats they enjoy, and whether they have any allergies, dietary requirements or medications. For cats and dogs, please let me know about their usual feeding, toileting and exercise routines, as well as anything they particularly enjoy or dislike. Please share anything else you think would be useful for me to know.
