Safety, trust & environment

I will diligently follow instructions from the owner, while also using my professional judgement on the wellbeing of the cat. If I have any concerns I will immediately contact the owner, and stay with the cat until I am sure that everything is okay. During my visits I will spend time with the cat, and try to gain their trust. However, I also understand that cats like their space and boundaries respected. I am available to go on either short walks with your dog or longer walks with a maximum of 2 hours. I will diligently follow your instructions on what your dog likes during their walk!

Information Annabel A. would like to know about your pet

Please inform me of any special needs/behaviours, e.g., does your cat like being petted, is your cat playful, does your cat prefer to be left alone etc. If your cat is super shy then if you could let me know what you would like from the visit - if you’d rather I stay and try bond with your cat, or if you’d rather I’d leave your cat to go about its day. Please inform me of any special needs/behaviours of your dog before going for a walk e.g., are they dog reactive, do they need to wear a muzzle, do they typically go on lead or off lead, do they like to play with toys during their walk etc.

A typical day

If your cat is feeling up to it then we will have plenty of play time! If you would like I can also brush your cat - especially important for long haired babies.

Pet care experience

I have had dogs throughout my entire life, and more recently I became a registered veterinary nurse, where I work mostly with dogs. I often look after my dad’s dog Stanley, who is seen on my profile picture. We recently went on a solo holiday together, where we enjoyed going on lots of hikes. Being an RVN, I am trained in CPR and giving medications.

Well Annabel maybe my adult daughter (and we have numerous pets between our houses) . But she is a qualified veterinary nurse and I wouldn't trust anyone else to look after my cats . She is very knowledge with regard to physical care but she understands how animals are feeling from their immediate body language. (A rareity in its self ) . (This includes her horse , dog and cats ) . She is prompt and reliable and she will always put the welfare of animals first . I am proud to be her mum and I am pretty certain she will give your animals the attentive care you request and that they deserve .

Annabel is the most loving and caring pet caregiver. Her communication is impeccable and clear and there’s no such thing as too much. With being a veterinary nurse, it really puts your mind at ease knowing she knows how to properly take care of your pet in an emergency. She is reliable, kind, sends the cutest photos and the only person I would trust to take care of my pets. I highly recommend her to look after your pets.
