I’m currently a PhD student studying for my qualifying exams, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to spend a lot of time at home. As a dog mom myself, daily walks, feeding schedules, playtime, and making sure pets feel comfortable are already part of my everyday life. I’m able to plan my work around pet care needs and can provide attentive, consistent care throughout the week.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I try to keep their routine as consistent and comfortable as possible. I know being away from their owners can be stressful for some pets, so I make sure they get plenty of attention, care, playtime, walks, and patience while also respecting their individual personalities and boundaries. I understand how important trust and communication are, and I aim to make both pets and pet parents feel comfortable. I’ve always had a good rapport with dogs and know how to work with different energy levels, sizes, temperaments, and comfort needs.

I appreciate knowing as much as possible about a pet’s routine, personality, energy level, and comfort needs ahead of time. Things like feeding schedules, walking preferences, medications, favorite activities, triggers, commands they know, and how they interact with other people or animals are all very helpful.
A typical day
I love keeping pets engaged and happy with a mix of play, enrichment, and attention tailored to their personality and energy level. I use enrichment games and activities to help keep dogs mentally stimulated, and I’m always happy to play fetch, go on walks, have cuddle time, or just hang out with them. For cats, I enjoy interactive play, treats, toys, and giving them affection (or space!) depending on what they enjoy most.

Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud dog mom to my 6 y/o pandemic pup. I grew up around dogs and have spent years helping care for family dogs. As a dog mom myself, I understand how much our pets mean to us and how important it is to have someone trustworthy caring for them. I know firsthand that sometimes it takes a village, and I love being able to help fellow pet parents feel confident that their dogs are safe, happy, and loved while they're cared for!

If you are nervous about leaving your pets like we were at first, Anna is the person you want. She has watched our two cats multiple times when we lived in Davis and we have never worried leaving them with her. It’s literally the exact opposite, we feel so relieved when she can cover. She is incredibly reliable, on time, and communicative, and she always sends thoughtful photo updates without us having to ask. One of our cats needs daily medication and can be really stubborn about taking it, and Anna is wonderful with this. She is patient, calm, and great at reading their body language, and she figures out creative, gentle ways to get it done while sticking exactly to the routine we leave. She asks really good questions beforehand and follows feeding and care instructions to the letter. She is kind, caring, and treats our cats like her own. She has even brought them little toys, keeps the litter boxes and food area spotless, and always leaves our home tidy and secure. We only have cats, but see know she has tons of hands on experience with dogs too and is such a great pet mom herself. Any pet would be lucky to have her. We recommend Anna without hesitation and will absolutely book her again whenever we can and recommend her to anyone who lives in the general Davis/Sacramento area!
