I am not sure I know anyone who loves animals as much as I do. While most of my friends were making money babysitting growing up, I was instead begging all my neighbors to let me walk their dogs or feed their cats. Or rabbits. Or mice. Or rats. I went to marine biology camp every summer, and worked on a leatherback turtle conservation project in Costa Rica for a year after high school. I dog sat for my professors as a part-time job in grad school. Animals are my first love. While living in Oakland from 2013 - 2017, along w my sweet rescue pittie Jed, I walked and hiked dogs as a full-time gig, and built up an incredible client base. After moving back to Boston, I went back to full-time office work (I work in research compliance), and I deactivated my Rover profile for a bit. But after Jed died in 2022, I got on here regularly again. I missed having a pet to dote on and thought it would help me to get my fill of furry pals : ) I have experience with all sorts of animals, and all sorts of temperaments and quirks. I work full-time, so I am really only consistently available weeknights and weekends. That said, I am frequently remote during the week and able to be flexible, so please feel free to shoot me a message, even if my calendar says I'm unavailable. I know how daunting it can feel to leave your best bud(s) with an internet stranger, but I can absolutely promise to love on & take incredible care of him/her/them while you’re away! I am very responsive, and can offer detailed updates and lots of photos. Please note: after the initial meet and greet, I expect clients to assume responsibility for ensuring that I have access to your home. This is to say — please give me keys to keep, or have a lockbox//keyless entry, or be willing to use a rideshare service to deliver your keys to me. Coming by to pick up keys takes time. If you are hoping for a same-day walk//drop-in visit, please provide lots of info when requesting; there are lots of fake accounts on here, and this helps me ensure you’re a Real Person 🙃
