I was introduced to my first kitty at 5 months old, she became my second sister and we grew up together. I have loved all cats since that first interaction, and simply the presence of a happy cat brings me joy. My second kitty had cancer and needed a caretaker post-surgery, so I have experience in cones, medication, and post-op care. In addition, I have taken care of pregnant mamas and her kittens after birth, as well as multiple senior cats. Overall, whether a cat is high or low energy and/or high or low maintenance, I am just happy to be around!

Safety, trust & environment
Cats are very specific about how they interact with humans, and I am adamant about giving them space if needed. It is hard to gauge how a cat will act before you see them, so it can be a lot of playing by ear. If a cat is high energy, I love to play and tire them out. On the other hand, some cats prefer naps and leisureliness, in which case cuddles, pets and love is my specialty. Wherever a cat is at the moment, I am always happy to comply to ensure they are as comfy as possible.

Anna has taken care of our 2 cats several times. She's reliable, timely, and most important, enjoys spending time with the cats! Our cats have very different personalities and Anna adapts well to both of them. One is 19 years old and needs a calm presence and extra petting. The other is much younger and likes to talk and follow you around. We've been really glad to have Anna's caretaking of our cats when we've been away -- we know 100% that they are in good hands!
Anna is a true cat whisperer. Yes, I'm her father and think she is a great, caring and responsible person in general. I am not a cat person, but when we got our last kitty, Luna, Anna was the first person to bond with Luna. The trust was strong. They were inseparable for over three years. Tragically, Luna passed away young because of cancer earlier this fall. After Luna got surgery in January of 2023, Anna was her primary caregiver; she fed her when Luna wasn't interested in eating, changed her bandages, and played with her. Luna recovered in record time, I believe, because of Anna's caretaking skills. Unfortunately, Luna's cancer came back, and Anna was there to help her through her difficult times. Anna was the go to person for cat sitting in the neighborhood, but now that she is living on her own attending college, I know that she would value the chance to take care of your cats. You won't regret it!

Schedule
I am currently an under-grad at the U of M, so the cat sitting will take place around my class schedule. My class load is relatively low, giving me opportunities to work on weekdays. I currently live on campus and have access to transportation.
