I have a very flexible schedule! I work as a paraeducator during the school year, so the summer is my time off. I will have plenty of availability to give your pets my full attention. I have a car, so distance isn't an issue for me, and my social life is light in the summer so your pets will get all of the love and care they deserve. My calendar is updated regularly, and I always try to work around your schedule to the best of my ability.

Safety and quality of care for your pet are my top priorities. I know it can be hard to bring a stranger into your home to care for a beloved member of your family, that's why I highly recommend scheduling a meet and greet before I accept a job. Meet and greets are a great way to make sure your pet is comfortable with me, and to meet with them in an environment where they feel comfortable. When petsitting, I take the time to provide photos and updates every day. I have a car, so trips to your house will be a breeze, and I'm available on short notice for bookings. I love playing with dogs in the backyard, but going for walks around the block is also great. I'm happy to follow whatever rules/instructions you have for your pet, and with my flexible schedule, multiple daily visits or odd hours/schedule constraints are of no issue.

I will always default to whatever information you tell me about care for your furry friend, whether that includes a special leash or harness, what time they like to eat or have bedtime, or even just their favorite toy! Please let me know if your pet has any special needs or dietary/movement restrictions. If you don't want visit updates and pictures please let me know, otherwise I will be sending a short summary of each visit to keep you updated. I love to know a pets personality beforehand if possible. Are they timid, energetic, sweet, shy around strangers, exuberant, or a bit lazy? Let me know! :) If you have specific schedules, rules, or little quirks around caring for your pet, I am happy to follow them if they are communicated ahead of time.
A typical day
I love getting to play with dogs and taking them for walks! I love walking in general, so adding a dog to the mix is always a blast. I make an effort to find a route that your pup enjoys or follow their usual route if they like to stick to their routine. I am a Portland local, so I'm familiar with most of the city, but I always enjoy getting to know new areas more in-depth. It's so fun to find a pet's favorite toy and spend some time playing with them, but I am also always down to sit with your pet and a good book if they feel more grounded being close to people and getting some good cuddles in.

Hi everyone! I'm Anna. I love caring for dogs, cats, and other animals. I've always grown up with cats in my house and dogs and cats around my neighborhood, and as such I've had the pleasure of taking care of pets since I was 10. I take pride in my work, and I love getting to meet new furry friends! I'll treat your pets as my own, including going on walks, feeding, grooming, and looking after them. I am happy to follow any special feeding protocols, bedtime rituals, bathroom schedules, and whatever else your pet needs to feel safe, comfortable, and regulated. I have experience with many different pet breeds and temperaments. Is your pet shy and cautious? I'll help them feel safe and respected. Does your pet have oodles of energy and enthusiasm? I'll meet them where they're at, and help them get those zoomies out!
