Safety, trust & environment
Safety is, of course, the highest priority, and reading animal body language is the key to maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for your pet and avoiding stressful situations. This is a skill I feel very confident with after so many years of varied pet care. Second to safety is fun! Whether that looks like a brisk walk, a casual stroll, a laser pointer, a game of fetch, or just getting some relaxed quality time in is entirely up to your pet. Regardless, I'm happy to fulfill their needs.
Information Anna L. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet has any needs or behaviors that I can help manage to ensure their safety and comfort both while we're together and apart. Additionally, please let me know if your dog or cat has any potentially alarming behavioral triggers that may be encountered during walks or playtime. This may include extreme fear of skateboards, chasing bikes, a dislike of grabbing the collar, etc. I'd love to know about any specific methods you've found to best manage those situations for your pet.
A typical day
Your pet can expect more from me than just a potty break! A typical visit from me includes spending time playing fetch, exploring the neighborhood, or playing tug-of-war (dealer's choice). Got a cat? No problem! Cats need playtime, too. I'm sure your cat has a favorite toy, just like mine. Let's chat about it!

Experienced with dogs of all ages!
Pet care experience
I grew up training and showing dogs! I've also been a trusted volunteer dog walker/foster parent for local humane societies in the past, taking care of dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and ages! My family frequently fostered litters of puppies as young as 6 weeks. I also have plenty of experience with seniors and the specific health problems that come with that, after loving my cocker spaniels right up to the end. Life doesn't allow me to have a dog of my own at the moment, so I'll jump on any chance for some pupper love!
Cat care experience

Anna also cares for cats. Learn about their cat-specific care experience.
Reviews

Anna did a wonderful job house sitting and watching our pets. She provided regular updates. We would book with her again!!
I have known Anna for several years. Anna is kind; compassionate with animals; knowledgeable and experienced in dog, cat, and bird care; and understands dog training. I trusted Anna with my older dog that had medical issues and my young energetic dog too. Anna has good communication skills and is reliable. I definitely recommend Anna for your pet sitting.
Anna loves all animals. She was in 4-H dog project for many years and learned to train her dog in both obedience and showmanship. She has cared for chickens for years and has been exposed to horses. At college she was in charge of all the animals in the lab and especially liked the boa snake Rosie. She currently owns a cat and bird who are good friends. Anna is more than competent to care and love-on any animal. She also has a college degree in biology.
