Having looked after a variety of animals from the age of 10 (my own, and family members'), I understand their various needs according to their age, temperament, and diet. I've spent most of my life surrounded by pets. When I was younger, we had 2 cats (a Russian blue and a Bengal), 3 goldfish, and the best Golden Retriever in the world, Rafa, who sadly passed a few months ago. In September is volunteered at a dog shelter in Western Ukraine for 2 weeks, where I would take dogs of all shapes and sizes for long walks in the surrounding woodland. Many of the dogs I walked were very badly traumatised (physically and mentally), and I fostered strong bonds with them. I believe my passion for animal welfare and empathy make me a successful pet sitter/dog walker. I have always been very sporty and fitness oriented and look forward to taking your dog on long fulfilling walks, as I understand how important exercise is - especially for larger breeds. I live in an area surrounded by woodland and forest paths which make for ideal walking environments.
