I’ve had pets of my own since I was 10 and have trained dogs, cats, and fish. My fiance and I currently have two handsome fluffy cats, a leopard gecko, and a successful freshwater aquascape with tetras, a honey gourami, and neocaridina shrimp. I have had dogs for most of my life until about a year ago, when mine passed away. Now, I’m looking to spend some time with others’ furry friends.

I only do drop-in visits at present, but I would love to set up a time to meet your pets and get introduced to their care routine before I start to care for them. I am happy to do aquatic maintenance and care for exotic pets in your home as well, including reptiles, rodents, and insects. I’ve worked in professional husbandry for fish and invertebrates, so I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to care for all of your pets, not just cats and dogs, though I adore them too. I highly recommend Ryan as a pet caregiver. Ryan has great work ethic, consistency, and compassion. Ryan has been my go to person to call when I need someone to watch my cats, and before my dog passed away last year, Ryan was a huge help even with all the medications needing to be administered when I was out of town. Ryan is competent at handling my cats when they need nail trims, and works on cooperative care (they get twice daily meds) with them so that giving medications has become easier for me too! Even when I need Ryan to come over twice a day for the cats, they are always there on time! I highly recommend Ryan as a pet care professional!
Let me begin by saying how impressed we have been with how attentive and loving Anna (Ryan) has been toward our pets. They are obviously a person who connects deeply with animals and feels a sincere connection with them. I highly recommend that you consider Ryan for helping with your pet (s), you will be very happy and your pets will enjoy their company.
Ryan loved and cared for our two very challenging rescue dogs completely unconditionally, no matter how difficult they were to walk or feed or keep from fighting. Ryan was calm, careful and unwaveringly forgiving. I once asked how Ryan was able to act so lovingly in the face of repeated undesired behaviors from our dogs and Ryan replied, "I have always felt a kinship with animals; I see them as my dog brothers and cat sisters." I recommend Ryan unreservedly as a kind and conscientious pet walker/sitter.

Schedule
I work for a children’s museum, so my workday typically starts later and ends by 6. I have Sundays off consistently and a flexible schedule based on events and outreach during the school year, so I’m free to stop by and spend time with your pets as needed.
