I design home accessories and gifts and run my own design company from home. Apart from the afternoon school run, which is 30 minutes, I am around all day.

I have a good sized rear garden that is surrounded by a secure 6-7 foot fence. They will have access to a lounge with 2 sofas and two arm chairs, the hallway, the kitchen with beds and my studio which also has a couple of beds. Even the garden has a large leather sofa that they are welcome to use. I have a pet gate so they can not get out of the front door.

A typical day
I believe in providing dogs with mental as well as physical stimulation, so I have lots of games and scent trails around my garden and I live near town parks, secure dog fields and beautiful country walks.

Pet care experience
I grew up surrounded by a menagerie of rescue animals, from geese to donkeys and many cats and dogs. I have worked in rescue for 7 years and ran a dog rescue for 5 years and over that time I have fostered and worked dogs of all sizes and personalities. I would say that my specialism is helping with separation anxiety as one of my own dogs suffered with this. I am experienced with large breeds. I currently own a Pointer cross who is amazing with all dogs. I also have 3 cats. In the next 6 months I will be taking a level 3 course in Canine Care and Welfare, which is the equivalent of an A level.

Anna has been brilliant with our nervous rescue and generously took additional steps to help Tilly feel more comfortable with her, and in her home. Tilly can be shy but quickly got cosy on the sofa and even demanded a few strokes. Anna has been very reliable, communicative, and thoughtful, so I would definitely recommend her.
Anna introduced me to Belle, who needed a foster home and then i adopted her. Our dogs became friends and my nervous Belle has grown in confidence through time with Anna, who is calm, kind and patient and really knows dogs. She gets a special greet from Belle now, the smile, the paws on shoulders smile, full works, that only a select few get 😉
