My priority is keeping each cat safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible. I understand that cats can be sensitive to changes in their environment, so I take time to learn each cat’s feeding routine, habits, personality, and any special instructions before care begins. When caring for cats in their own home, I respect both their space and their established routine. I carefully follow feeding, water, litter box, medication, and household instructions, and I always make sure doors, gates, and other designated areas are secure before I leave. I pay attention to eating, drinking, litter box habits, and behavior so I can let you know if I notice anything unusual. I also provide photo and text updates during visits. For boarding, I live in a quiet, single-level private home with my friendly 14-year-old black cat, Phil. Our home is located on a dead-end street with no through traffic, which makes the surroundings especially quiet. My household members (husband and adult son) and neighbors are quiet as well, so there is very little noise or activity to disturb visiting cats. We are a non-smoking healthy lifestyle household. I board only one guest cat at a time, and each guest has their own private bedroom where they can settle in and feel secure. They can gradually explore the common areas of the home as they become comfortable. I never force interaction between cats and allow each guest to adjust at their own pace. I currently accept female cats for boarding because Phil is most comfortable sharing his home with female feline guests. Keeping boarding limited to one compatible guest at a time helps me maintain a calm, peaceful, and low-stress environment. Whether your cat is outgoing and affectionate or prefers to hide and observe from a distance, I let them set the pace. Some cats want playtime, brushing, and cuddles right away, while others need patience and personal space. My goal is to make their time away from you feel as safe, familiar, and comfortable as possible.

Every cat is different, so I try to tailor activities to their personality and comfort level. Some of the things I commonly do include: • Interactive play with wand toys, laser pointers, balls, tunnels, and catnip toys • Brushing and grooming sessions (for cats who enjoy it) • Lap time, cuddles, and petting sessions • Window watching and bird watching • Simply keeping a cat company and talking to them if they prefer a calmer visit. I pay close attention to each cat’s body language and preferences. Some cats want an energetic play session, while others just want a quiet companion to sit with them. My goal is to make them feel comfortable, engaged, and loved while their family is away. For boarding specifically, my cat Phil provides companionship for social cats, while shy cats are welcome to keep to themselves in their private room until they feel comfortable.
