As an animal caretaker, I strive to give your pets as relaxing of an experience as I can. I work to maintain a schedule that keeps them comfortable and fulfilled. I encourage my clients to share as much information about their pet with me so that I can provide your pet with exactly what they need; you know them best. Prior to caring for a dog, I encourage owners to share as much information about their canine companion with me as they can. In order for me to provide the highest level of care I can, I need to know the ins and outs of your pet. Providing such information allows me to provide your pet with a smooth and carefree stay. Such information includes: all allergies, triggers/ potential reactivity, dog/cat preference, overall temperament, breed, age, and equipment used to handle.
A typical day
I love to play around with various activities and find the ones that best suits the dog! While most dogs enjoy a good walk, I’ve found that it’s not what every dog needs or enjoys. Some of those alternative activities include, but are not limited to, hikes, sniffing walks, enrichment, play time, and chill time. I strive to provide the dogs with a variety of activities to keep them engaged and fulfilled! I find joy in providing a dog with what they want- not what’s convenient for me.

I have a wide variety of valuable experience in the animal care industry that qualifies me to take care of your pet! Aside from the fact that I’ve been a dog owner the majority of my life, I am a certified groom tech, have worked as a vet tech, and am an aspiring balanced dog trainer. I strongly believe in the importance of enrichment for your pet that is selective to their needs! I have experience with a variety of breeds, ages, and temperaments; no pet is too much. Above all else, every pet I encounter is treated like my own and the quality of my services reflect that.

I am so happy I found Anna. She is a lovely young woman, who is kind and caring. She knows a lot about dogs and was able to accommodate my needs. Most importantly, my dogs really liked her! Anna Durthaler has always had a special talent when it comes to animals! She is an animal lover who takes an interest in animals with every intention of loving and understanding them. She is the best person to take care of your pets and is very thorough with every job she does. When she has taken care of my dog, I know that he is being taken attentively care of.
Anna is an top-notch animal caregiver. Not only does she help us with our dogs, but when we travel we use her to look after our horses and barn cats as well. She's punctual and we can count on her to wear out our pups with walks and enrichment exercises. She's been amazing with helping to reinforce the training we are doing with our lab puppy and has offered suggestions of techniques we weren't familiar with. If you're looking for someone who will treat your pets as if they are her own, then try Anna. We highly recommend her!
