About Anna D.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in their home, my priority is to keep things calm, safe, and familiar. I enter slowly and give pets space to approach me, paying close attention to their body language. Some pets want affection right away; others need time to warm up. When on walks, I adjust for the weather, including bringing water and modifying activity (staying in the shade, taking frequent breaks, stopping back home to help down as needed) to keep dogs safe in the heat. I follow the owner’s instructions closely, keep doors and gates secure, and maintain routines (feeding, walks, medications). I stay aware of the environment and your dog’s energy so that play, attention, and boundaries remain safe. Before leaving, I double-check that everything is secure, the dog has fresh water, and they are settled. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable and for you to feel confident that your home is respected.
Information Anna D. would like to know about your pet
To provide the best care, I like to know about your pet’s personality, habits, and needs. Helpful information includes: • Any behaviors you’re working on or don’t mind • Medical needs or medications • Home environment details (favorite walking routes, hazards, escape risks) • Anything that feels important to you This information allows me to tailor each visit to your pet’s personality and your expectations.
A typical day
During a visit, I take time to let your pet settle, or give them tons of attention and an opportunity to let out energy if they are excited. I provide fresh food (if given) and water, engage in gentle play or affection as desired, and follow any routines you have in place. When possible, I enjoy spending time outside with dogs to let them explore, sniff, or play. My goal is always for your pet to feel safe, happy, and cared for before I leave.

Calm, Attentive Pet Care
Pet care experience
I’ve lived with dogs my whole life and was the primary caretaker for my two family dogs for three years. I’ve also fostered a high-energy puppy, so I’ve experienced everything from zoomies and training chaos to the calm routines of senior dogs. I enjoy getting to know each dog as an individual and tailoring my approach to their personality and needs. My Approach With Dogs I’m naturally calm, patient, and attentive to a dog’s body language. I let dogs set the pace of our interactions and adjust to what helps them feel safe and comfortable. I also provide gentle boundaries when needed, whether on walks or in exciting situations. My goal is always to create a relaxed, trusting environment where your dog feels secure and happy. What I’m Comfortable With • Puppies (I love the energy and play!) • Seniors (soft spot for them, I’m very attentive and gentle) • Small and medium dogs, even if they're still learning manners • Large dogs (up to 70 lbs), I can walk one or two at a time. Playful energy is fine; dogs who might run off suddenly aren’t a fit • Extra-large dogs (above 70 lbs), on a case by case basis • Various walk styles: slow sniff-and-strolls, fast paced walks, or short jogging intervals • Dogs who need time to warm up or prefer slower interactions • Medication administration (insulin injections, pills, eye drops), always following owner instructions Aggressive dogs or pets that pose a safety risk aren’t something I can take on, but friendly, energetic, or barky dogs are welcome. Services I Offer • Dog Walking (30–60 minutes - slow, relaxed, or energetic) • Drop-In Visits (30 minutes: feeding, water, bathroom break, cuddles, play; I often enjoy spending time outside when the dog enjoys it) • Cat Care I’m communicative, detail-oriented, and respectful of your dog’s daily habits. You can expect photo updates and clear communication throughout the visit.
Reviews

We are so grateful for everything you have done for us! You have been so kind and helpful to Bailey especially as he has made the transition from the shelter to our home. Thank you for making this process so smooth! Wishing you all the best :)

Anna has been wonderful with our pup for drop-in visits. She’s a great communicator, always keeping us updated and making us feel at ease while we’re away. He can be shy with new people, but he warmed up to Anna surprisingly quickly, which says a lot. We’ve had a really positive experience and absolutely recommend her.

We have used Anna a few times and will continue to do so in the future. My dog really enjoys his walks with her.

Anna did a drop-in visit for my 4 cats, including administering insulin to my diabetic cat. She was wonderful! Great communication! I had mentioned to her that I feed each cat in a different room, hoping, but from experience with other sitters, not expecting her to actually separate them. She did! I also really appreciate her putting the effort to go above and beyond what I asked. One example: During the meet and great, I fed my kitties, including adding water to their food. I mentioned to her that she didn't need to do that, but when she did the drop-in, she went ahead and did it anyways. :) I'm glad I hired her and highly recommend her!
