Most evenings and weekends I’m home, and I can be a touchpoint for pets in the morning, evening, and overnight. I enjoy keeping pets comfortable and following their usual routines to help them feel safe and calm. For drop-in care, I’m away from the home for up to 10 hours during the day, so drop-ins are best suited for pets who are comfortable with longer stretches between visits.

Information Anna C. would like to know about your pet
To make sure your pet is comfortable and has the best stay possible, I ask that owners share the following information before booking: -How your pet does with children -How your pet does with other dogs and/or cats -Your dog’s recall ability and whether they are reliable off leash -Any training methods your pet responds to (clicker, collar type, verbal cues, crate, etc.) -Your pet’s typical activity level at home -Any special food, treats, toys, or blankets that help them feel at ease -Any medical needs, routines, fears, or behaviors I should be aware of This helps me tailor care to your pet’s needs and ensures a safe, positive experience for everyone. I’m always happy to work with pets who need a little extra time or patience, as long as I have the information I need ahead of time.
A typical day
Our day starts with a calm morning routine. Dogs head outside first for a bathroom break, followed by breakfast. After eating, we go back out for a walk and stretch before I head to work. For any cats staying with me, mornings include a fresh litter box, breakfast, and some gentle attention while the day gets started. I also like to use toys to help everyone wake up, stretch, and ease into the day. During the day, I am away from the home for up to 10 hours, so this routine works best for pets who are comfortable with a consistent schedule and longer daytime rest periods. When I return home, dogs go straight outside for a quick bathroom break, followed by supper. Cats get dinner, fresh litter, and plenty of affection while I prepare the evening routine. After supper, dogs enjoy another walk — either around my cleared 15 acres or on the trail in Cardigan, depending on what the pet owner feels best suits their dog’s comfort and needs. With owner approval and for dogs who are reliable off leash, we can also enjoy supervised playtime with a ball or frisbee in my open, unfenced yard. For senior dogs and cats, I’m happy to adjust the pace and schedule to prioritize comfort. This may include shorter, gentle walks, extra rest time, and a calm environment — always making sure they stay active without being overworked. Evenings are focused on winding down. Dogs get relaxed companionship and time to settle in, while cats enjoy playtime with a variety of toys and always have cozy spots available for curling up and snuggling. Dogs go outside before we head off to bed. I focus on keeping routines consistent, pets comfortable, and making sure each pet receives the right balance of activity, attention, and rest.

Loving Care for Cats & Dogs
Pet care experience
I’ve cared for cats and dogs my entire life and currently have three cats and one dog of my own. I understand how important safety, comfort, and routine are for pets. I’m experienced with managing multi-pet households, supervising introductions, and providing separate spaces when pets need time to adjust. I can provide separate spaces for cats and dogs if needed, and I also have a quiet basement apartment that can be set up as a pet-friendly space, giving pets a calm place to relax if they feel overwhelmed at first.
