With the dogs I watch, I like to keep things fun, simple, and tailored to their personality. On walks, I let them take their time to sniff around and explore—since I know that’s a big part of what makes walks exciting for them. If they’re more playful and energetic, I’m always up for a good game of fetch or some extra playtime to help them burn off energy. If they’re more laid-back, I enjoy giving them calm walks, gentle attention, and company so they still feel cared for and engaged. Most of all, I pay attention to what each dog is enjoying in the moment and adjust accordingly so they feel comfortable, happy, and safe while we spend time together.
