Availability

Since adopting Alma, I left hospitality to honor the promise I made on adoption: never leaving her behind. I don’t have another job, and I live on my own property, which gives me the freedom to make flexible decisions. On beautiful days, there’s a good chance I’ll take the dogs out for a hike or hill walk somewhere near Glasgow too. Usually, we start with a big walk in the morning, then relax at home so they can recharge before heading out again for another big walk.

Safety, trust & environment

For many dogs, distraction and stimulus is key when they’re staying with someone new. Alma is a great companion for this, as she loves to play but is also very happy to chill. Dogs are welcome throughout the apartment — on carpets, the sofa, and the bed — although they also have designated beds of their own. If you prefer that they stay off the furniture because that’s what they’re used to at home, I’m happy to follow your instructions. We also have a fenced shared garden at the back for a quick toilet break at anytime. I live close to three parks, I drive my own car - always covered in dog hair - and I take then out for regular, longer and shorter walks depending on their needs. My own dog is off-lead and this is how I prefer to walk the all, but I’ll always follow your instructions on how you’d like your dog to be walked, both in and out of the park. I also live with two flatmates who love dogs and have looked after friends’ dogs before, though I’m the one responsible for caring for your doggy 100% of the time. If helpful, I can also share the GPS history of my own dog so you can see how much we’ve been out and where. I think this should be standard for all dog walkers.

I might take them for a day hike out of the city if I have your doggy for multiple days :)

Pet care experience

I’ve always had dogs growing up and loved caring for my friends’ dogs too. Since adopting Alma, my priorities have naturally shifted, and I’m dedicated to giving her the very best. Because she’s such a social dog, I thought it would be wonderful to bring more joy into her life by welcoming dogs into our home and keeping our walks filled with dog friends. I’ve been doing this for a while now, and I can say with confidence that it was the right choice for both of us. I’m currently training to become a dog trainer, which helps me better understand dogs and provide even better care. 😊

Anna has been wonderful with Luna. We knew her and Alma from walking our dogs and loved that she had experience with Romanian street dogs. Anna decided on a plan with us which has involved doing a bit of training with Luna, which she responded to really well. She has been so thoughtful and taken her time to understand Luna, her personality and how they can work well together. We cannot recommend her highly enough.

Riley was so well looked after over Christmas. Anna took great care to meet up twice beforehand to get to know Riley and welcomed him into her home like he was one of her own. We received daily photos and updates of different walking places. Riley really took to Anna. Thanks Anna for taking such great care of Riley. I would definitely recommend Anna to anyone wanting a home from home experience for their dog.

Our dog had a great time for his first multiple night stay anywhere. Anna always takes really good care of him and is very helpful and quick with updates. Our dog can't wait for the next sleepover !
