Dog Trainer and Behaviorist

Hello! I am an experienced dog trainer and currently own my own dog training business. I’m a force free, fear free dog trainer, and have over 500 hours of behavior modification experience. I can take anything from the most friendly puppy to a fearful pup who needs time and care to adjust. I’m certified and only use the most up to date modern training techniques! I am on the board of a local rescue and a behavior consultant for a cattle dog rescue and regularly foster when I have an open space. I live on a half acre, fully fenced, and have a mother-in-law suite, fully furnished and temperature controlled. I do have dogs of my own, but do have the ability to separate my guests if they’re not so keen on other dogs. I have a soft spot for shy or fearful dogs looking to build their confidence or a working breed dog looking for a mental outlet through games and play. I’d love the opportunity to take your dog on a walk, sniffari, dog parkour, or whatever the day brings us. Please don’t hesitate to ask me any questions!

I 100% recommend Anna! We had just moved here and one of our three dogs was having a really hard time, was stressed, and regressed in his training. We had two days a week we would both be gone for 12-ish hours and needed someone to come potty break the dogs twice a day - but our scared baby struggles with meeting new people. Anna was so awesome , she interacted with him beautifully, followed our training processes we were working on, and really won him over. She was willing to come do multiple (paid) meet and greets and in person walks with us until he was ready to work with her. She kept us 100% updated on his progress and handled our other pets beautifully as well. We are sadly moving out of her working zone but think she is awesome!

Anna is the definition of a dog person. She has done a fantastic job training her dogs, and even helped friends and family members with their new fur babies. She’s currently under training to become a certified dog trainer and wants to specialize with “trouble” dogs and helping them get rehabilitated.

Schedule

I own my own dog training business so I’m in and out of the house nearly all day. I have the ability to stop in and let the dogs out, go on an adventure, etc every 2-3 hours during the day and have relatively free weekends and evenings that I use to spend with my dogs in my care.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a house surrounded by farmland, which makes a great environment for nearly any dog. I live on a half acre, fully fenced, with lots of toys and activities. I also have a mother-in-law suite that’s fully furnished (even with a tv with Netflix) and temperature controlled. I provide a fear free environment and take greetings at the dog’s pace. They can be completely separate from my dogs, or we can integrate everyone if your dog is dog friendly.

Pets

A typical day

I love to play with my dogs daily in my large backyard, and also take my dogs on regular hikes and adventures. I live very close to a couple parks that I like to frequent. I have lots of toys and enrichment and fun!

It is required that your pup does not have any separation anxiety or crate anxiety if required (depending on the dog). It is also important that if your dog is fearful of other dogs or people that we meet first so I can provide a behavior assessment to ensure we’re a good fit for one another.
