I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my family always had rescue dogs, and every single one came with their own story, personality, and little quirks. Living with rescue dogs taught me that no two dogs are the same, and that patience, kindness, and understanding go a long way in helping them feel safe and happy. These days I share my home with an 8 y.o. Standard Dachshund. If you know the breed, you'll know they've got plenty of opinions and a wonderfully stubborn streak! Thanks to him, I've become an expert in negotiating with tiny but determined dogs and have learned that sometimes the best approach is simply a little patience (and the occasional treat). We live a very active lifestyle, spending weekends exploring the New Forest and Wareham Forest, where every interesting smell deserves a thorough investigation. We also love trips to the beach, where a paddle, or an enthusiastic swim is always on the agenda if the weather allows. Whether your dog loves long adventures, leisurely sniffy walks, energetic playtime, or simply wants someone calm and caring to keep them company, I'll make sure they feel right at home. I understand that every dog has their own routine, personality, and pace, and I'm happy to adapt to what makes them happiest and most comfortable. My goal is simple: to care for your dog as if they were one of my own.
