I’ve grown up with animals and have always loved caring for them. For around five years, I’ve regularly cat and dog sat in my free time. I’ve looked after pets for friends, family and neighbours, and through recommendations for other owners. I have experience with check-ins, dog walking, feeding and spending time with pets, as well as house sitting for several days or weeks at a time. I’m comfortable caring for a variety of breeds, ages and personalities. I have experience caring for senior and older pets and understand the importance of adapting to their individual needs. I always take the time to understand their routine, mobility, exercise, feeding and any specific requirements from their owner. I’m a conscientious, reliable animal lover and take pride in giving every pet attentive, individual care.

Safety, trust & environment
I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, needs and any specific instructions from their owner before they leave. I keep to their usual feeding, walking and medication routines where required, and make sure they have plenty of attention and companionship. I’m mindful of safety within the home, particularly with indoor cats, and follow any rules around doors, windows, gardens and access to certain areas. I also make sure the home is kept secure and tidy while the owners are away. I’ll keep owners updated during their time away and am happy to send regular photos and updates if they’d like. I’ll also let them know if I notice any changes in their pet’s behaviour, eating, toileting or general wellbeing.

Our little Mylo the tabby always has the best time with Anya. She makes him feel right at home and from the moment they met he was so at ease. He usually takes a while to warm up to new people but she has made him feel so loved that he now loves constant cuddles off her. Thank you for being the best 2nd home to Mylo!
I’ve known Anya for around 10 years and she is friendly and reliable, we used to live together and she would often help look after my dog. She has had pets herself and is a known cat sitter in her friend group.
Anya was an absolute gem with my baby Sargent! She cared for him so well and I had no nerves leaving him with her for an extended period of time! Sargent seemed to take to her so easily and I think that's a testimony to how good with animals she is, I would highly recommend Anya to anyone (and in fact I have!!).
Anya was absolutely amazing when she was looking after our cat Thyme when we were away! She kept us up to date on how she was doing and I could see Thyme was her normal happy self with Anya around! It really put our minds at ease when we went away and I would recommend Anya to anyone!
Anna has looked after my two demanding house cats, Brian and Bonnie, on several occasions. They need plenty of attention, care and sticking to specific feeding times, which Anna always manages brilliantly. She’s also looked after my older dog, who needs regular walks, patience and a little extra consideration. Anna has known her since she was a puppy and has always taken the time to build trust with all my pets. She genuinely cares about them, puts in the effort and treats them as her own. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Anna to anyone looking for a reliable, caring and trustworthy pet sitter.

Schedule
I work full-time as a mental health nurse, typically working three shifts per week. My working days vary each week, but I receive my rota around 4–6 weeks in advance, so I can plan bookings ahead of time. I’m available to care for pets on my days off and can discuss availability in advance.

- Before looking after a pet, I like to get to know as much as possible about their individual personality and routine. The more I know beforehand, the easier it is for me to make sure they feel comfortable and settled. I’d appreciate details about their usual routine, preferences, temperament and anything that makes them unique. This could include how they normally behave around new people or other animals, whether they have any particular dislikes or sensitivities, how they communicate when they need something, and anything that might cause them stress or anxiety. It’s also helpful to know about any house rules, boundaries or habits you’d like me to maintain, as well as anything important relating to their care or the home. It is especially helpful when owners are as detailed as they can be.
