Pet care experience

Home Sweet Home Pet Care

I have enjoyed and cared for dogs all my life and spent many years participating in Agility training and trials with my Blue Heeler/GS Pointer. I have raised puppies and tended to them throughout their long lives. I am a sucker for a white-faced senior dog! I met my husband over 30 years ago when he was a veterinarian and I was a veterinary technician. If your pet needs medication I am happy administer it for you.

Dog Walking • Mar 18, 2026

Ann has been an absolute lifesaver for us! She is incredibly kind, super responsive, and always reliable—everything you could hope for in a dog walker. She’s also been very flexible with scheduling, which has made a huge difference for us. Most importantly, my dog Betty absolutely loves her. Betty gets so excited on the days Ann comes to walk her, and it gives me so much peace of mind knowing she’s in such caring and capable hands. Ann walks her three times a week, and I’ve noticed such a positive impact on Betty’s happiness and routine. I can’t recommend Ann enough!

We had our very first experience using Rover, and we truly could not have asked for a better sitter than Ann. Leaving Gypsy for the first time was nerve-wracking for us, but Ann immediately put our hearts at ease. From the very beginning, her communication was thoughtful, responsive, and reassuring. She sent updates and photos that showed us not just that Gypsy was being cared for, but that she was genuinely happy and comfortable. That meant everything to us. Gypsy is such an important part of our family, and it was clear Ann treated her like one of her own. We came home to a relaxed, well-cared-for pup — which says so much. We are incredibly grateful for Ann’s kindness, reliability, and the love she showed Gypsy. Our first Rover experience was such a positive one because of her, and we would absolutely trust her again without hesitation. Thank you, Ann, for taking such wonderful care of our girl!

Ann was wonderful! Very responsive and attentive to our pups. With their veterinary backgrounds, we felt so at ease knowing they were in good hands. The best part was they allowed the pups on their furniture which is what they’re used to, it was a touch we sure appreciated. Thank you so much for all the love you provided our pups!

Ann has a natural gift with animals and treats every pet like her own. She is patient, attentive, and loving whether she’s caring for a high-energy pup or a shy, older pet that needs a little extra reassurance. She is reliable, communicative, trustworthy, and will always go the extra mile to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and comfortable! Her husband is also a retired veterinarian so she knows all the basics of medical care for your furry friends. Highly recommend!

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog is welcome in our home and on our furniture, and will be treated as one of our own. I have solid fencing on 3 sides of my backyard, with a metal fence on one side. (4 feet high with 3 3/4 inches between the vertical rails.) I will supervise your dog in the yard or take them outside on a long lead, as needed. I appreciate clear instructions on how you would like your pet cared for, and I will follow them respectfully. Does your dog have a favorite toy? Are there specific training guides you would like reinforced? Do they prefer to play alone or with other dogs? Just let me know what they need and I will be happy to accommodate them whether at your home or mine.

A typical day

Favorite toys are always appreciated so I can keep your dog engaged and happy. Our walks can take us along creeks and past livestock and through the neighborhood. Belly rubs and back scratches are always on hand.
