Pet care experience

All animals are loved

I learnt the responsibilities of caring for dogs early on in my childhood. I have grew up with dogs since I was a baby, and have always had a deep love for animals. I took this passion and love of animals and wanted to pursue it as a career. I studied animal management at college where I gained 3 years work experience in a boarding kennel. I then wanted to expand my knowledge further and continued my studies at Hartpury University in Canine Training and Performance, where I graduated with a 2.1 (upper second-class honours). Through this time I have gained a lot of experience on caring for a wide range of animals. Including dogs, cats, reptiles, birds and even pigs! I volunteered at a pig rescue in Ireland where I learnt a lot about these spectacular animals, who are a lot like dogs! I've learnt to deal with animals of all kinds of temperaments and how to pick up on body language to adapt my approaches quickly to ensure safety for all parties involved. This also helps to ensure that the animals are as stress free as can be.

House Sitting • Jun 07, 2024

Amazing. We would highly recommend Ann-Marie to house and/or pet sit. Greta (our dog) was well looked after, had plenty of walks, attention and care. The house was exactly as we left it and all recycling, cleaning and general tidying was done. Ann-Marie was communicative and responsive. We were kept up to date with pictures of Greta throughout which was reassuring.

Bonnie stayed with Ann-Marie for a day and seemed to have a great time! Got updates during the day and Bonnie was suitably tired when I picked her up. Will use again :)

Doggy Day Care • Mar 28, 2024

Highly recommend Ann-Marie. She is kind, responsible, very knowledgable about dogs and seemed to quickly understand my rescue dog. It was the first time he has been in doggy day care and I think he will be very happy to spend time with Ann-Marie again. I would not hesitate to recommend her.
