Hi, we are Jaren and Ann Skinner and our 12 year old daughter Fiona. Along with our 3 small but mighty dogs, 16 year old 9lb mixed breed rescue Tessie, 1.5 year old, 20lb, certified service dog and miniature Australian Shepherd Bowie, and 5 year old, 5lb yorkie Mookie! We ask your pets get along with other smaller dogs and older children (12). We also have 3 new baby chickens (separated from any pets) that are growing fast :) We just moved to Asheville/Mills River from Fort Myers Florida after we had enough of the hurricanes (Ian), and the heat. We absolutely love this area. We operate a car sharing/car rental business (Mountain Rides) with local art gallery (Sunday Morning Gallery) upstairs. We have a large secure parking area for our vehicles and airport shuttle agreement. The price of your beautiful pet’s care includes free parking and airport shuttle if needed! We are just 2 miles from AVL airport. Our place: We have a large, 2 story office/residence with very large fenced in dog park! Our Aussie can’t get enough outside fun time. Dogs are allowed in all areas of the downstairs living area. Upstairs has two rooms available if your pup likes alone time in a crate to sleep. Just let us know your fur baby’s preferences! We are home nearly 24/7 because we work here also. So you can trust we will take great care of your fur baby.

My dog had a great time running around their large yard and getting cuddles. They kept in contact with me frequently. The bonus ride to and from the airport and parking there were great perks. Will definitely book in the future.
Ann and Jaren took great care of our Yorkie, having a great fenced area for dogs to run around and get exercise. Picture's were sent nearly every day and demonstrated the care our dog was getting.
We were initially apprehensive about leaving our anxious pup at doggie daycare, but upon meeting Jaren, our worries melted away. Their fenced-in, lush green yard, complete with a variety of dog toys, immediately reassured us. We were warmly greeted by their adorable mini Aussie Shepherd, Bowie, who quickly became fast friends with our dog, Dale. Meeting Ann and their other two friendly doggies only reinforced the welcoming atmosphere. The easygoing nature of the household made drop-offs and pick-ups effortless. Dale returned home pleasantly tired from a day of play, without feeling overwhelmed.
If you want to leave your furry friend(s) with folks that will treat him/her/them like one of the family reach out to Ann & Jaren! This was our first time ever boarding our dog, Opal. The experience could not have gone better. The initial meeting with Jaren, drop off, communication during the week, and pick up was AMAZING! We received pictures and videos of her playing and being cuddled. We could tell Opal was having a blast with her new friends, which allowed us to relax with no worries. We will definitely be using them again in the future.

We are in a rural area away from roads, on a private drive, with a very large fenced in dog park out back. We have private upstairs rooms available for your fur baby if that is what you need. Lots of space in our office and home for crates and play areas. Hard laminate flooring for easy cleaning of any accidents :)

A typical day
We have a very large dog park out back with balls, Herding balls, frisbees and more. A small kiddie pool in the dog park for water fun during the warm months. Tons of dog toys inside the house as Bowie is always asking us to play fetch :) Trips to the nearby dog parks are an option if you prefer. We are outside quite often with the pups in the fenced doggie park. It’s about the size of a football field. All the dogs absolutely love it!

We are home nearly 24/7 because we work here also with the car rental business and art gallery. So, you can trust we will take great care of your fur baby. We have 3 small dogs that call this home also.
