Pet care experience

Animal lover seeking fur babies

Hi, I’m Annie! I’m a lifelong animal lover with plenty of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I currently have one cat named Lucy and a sweet golden retriever named Bear. My family and I have four golden retrievers altogether, so I’m no stranger to a busy, furry household! This fall, I’ll be earning my Animal Assisted Therapy Certificate through Slippery Rock University. One of my biggest goals is to train Bear to become a certified therapy dog. I’ve developed a strong interest in dog training and animal care, and I’m passionate about providing loving, reliable support for pets and their families. I’m organized, responsible, and truly care about each animal I meet. Whether you need help with daily walks, pet sitting, or just someone trustworthy to love on your pets while you’re away—I’d be honored to help. I’d love the opportunity to support your family and make life a little easier. Looking forward to meeting you and your furry loved ones!

Pets

Safety, trust & environment

At my home, I have crates available if needed, a fenced-in yard for safe outdoor play, and easy access to a walking trail nearby for plenty of exercise and enrichment. I also have a golden retriever named Bear who is friendly, social, and currently in training to become a therapy dog. I’m mindful of introducing pets slowly and respectfully to make sure everyone feels comfortable and safe. If your pet is more comfortable in their own environment, I’m also happy to provide in-home care. I’m dependable, respectful of your space, and follow your pet’s routine closely to help them feel secure and relaxed. Whether it’s daily care or an overnight stay, I make sure every pet gets the attention, affection, and care they deserve. **my dog is not allowed on the couch but your pets are more than welcome!**

Schedule

As a full-time Art Therapist, I have a structured schedule, and my Friday afternoons and weekends are free—making it easy for me to dedicate quality time to caring for other people’s pets. I spend a lot of time with my own pets, including my golden retriever, Bear. Caring for animals isn’t just something I do in my free time—it’s part of my lifestyle. I enjoy walking, playing, grooming, and making sure pets feel safe and loved. It’s something that brings me joy and fits easily into my everyday rhythm.

🕓 Daily Routine Feeding schedule (what, how much, and when) Bathroom schedule and cues (including indoor/outdoor habits) Exercise needs (walk length, play preferences, leash behavior) Sleep setup (crate, dog bed, couch, etc.) Commands the pet knows (and any specific ones they use) 🏥 Health & Emergency Info Vet name and contact info Emergency contact info (in case owner is unreachable) Medications (including how and when to give them) Up-to-date on vaccines/flea & tick prevention? 🧸 Comfort & Preferences Favorite toys, treats, or comfort items Allowed/not allowed (on furniture, certain rooms, treats, etc.) Interaction preferences (with other animals or strangers) Crate-trained or free-roam? My preference is for breeds that are friendly, social, and enjoy human interaction. I especially love working with golden retrievers (I have one myself!), labs, poodles, and other gentle, family-oriented breeds. That said, I’m open to caring for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, as long as they’re well-mannered and comfortable around other animals. I always prioritize safety, clear communication, and making sure each dog feels at home with me.
