Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. As a veterinary student, I spend much of my time caring for and handling animals, and I also care for my own two cats and two puppies. My schedule allows me to plan ahead and provide reliable drop-in visits, walks, feeding, medication administration, playtime, and companionship. I prioritize clear communication, punctuality, and making sure each pet's individual needs are met consistently

Safety, trust & environment
Whether I am caring for pets in my client's home or my own, my priority is creating a safe, low-stress, and consistent environment. I follow each pet's normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, exercise, medications, and any special instructions. As a veterinary student and Fear Free Certified professional, I pay close attention to behavior, appetite, energy level, and overall well-being so I can quickly recognize any concerns. In a client's home, I respect their space, provide regular updates with photos, and ensure pets receive plenty of attention, enrichment, and affection. I am experienced handling dogs and cats of different ages, temperaments, and medical needs, including seniors and pets requiring medication. My goal is for both pets and owners to feel comfortable, confident, and stress-free while they are apart.
Information Anjolina H. would like to know about your pet
Before I care for a pet, I like to know their normal routine, feeding schedule, medical history, medications (including timing and dosage), behavioral quirks, triggers, and comfort preferences. It’s also important to understand how they respond to new people, other animals, or being left alone so I can adjust my approach to keep them as calm and comfortable as possible. I also ask about emergency contacts, veterinary information, and any specific instructions the owner wants followed closely. The more detail I have upfront, the better I can maintain consistency and reduce stress for the pet while their owner is away.
A typical day
A typical day with the pets I care for is structured around their normal routine, with plenty of enrichment built in. For dogs, that usually includes walks tailored to their energy level, time for sniffing and exploring, play sessions like fetch or tug, and basic training reinforcement such as leash manners or simple cues if the owner is interested. For cats, I focus on interactive play with toys that match their hunting instincts, environmental enrichment, and quiet companionship if they’re more independent. I also make time for feeding, litter box care, and any medications or special instructions exactly as directed.
