I've had cats and dogs all my life, but my level of care I was able to provide definitely became more advanced when I became a medical laboratory scientist. After being in the medical field for nearly 10 years, I felt comfortable giving subcutaneous fluids to one of my cats every day for the last two years of her life. Having had 5 pets pass away from old age, while I was the primary care giver, has taught me a lot about caring for elderly pets. I am familiar with checking for normal stool, dehydration, jaundice, and anemia and have administered pills as well as given subcutaneous fluids daily. It's always hard to lose a pet, but I'm grateful that I have the knowledge and experience to help my future pets.

When I am pet sitting I always make sure every pet is accounted for and looks healthy. I also like to send a picture of each pet to their people every day because I find it gives peace of mind. I make sure boxes are scooped, food is fed, and water is refreshed. I will also give any dogs in the household a quick walk (unless otherwise specified) once a day to stretch their legs and get some mental stimulation.

Once again, Anita met all of our expectations on watching our pets. She is punctual and follows the most detailed instructions to keep your pets safe at home. It’s great to have Anita as an alternative when we can’t be here.

Anita is fantastic. She sent me a picture of my dog asleep on her lap. She also played ball with my dogs. I will book with her again.
We have used the services of Anita several times now and she has always fulfilled all of our expectations in making sure that our pets are safe and comfortable during our absence. She is diligent and trustworthy and keeps us posted everyday with specific details, reports and photos while taking the time to complete any individual task that is associated with each animal.
This visit was our 3rd booking with Anita, once again it was perfect. Our senior pug really likes her. We tell our friends he receives royal treatment when she’s there. 100% recommend.

Schedule
I currently am a free-lance pet portrait artist so I am my own boss and therefore have a very flexible schedule so I can check in on animals frequently.
