Safety, trust & environment
Depending on what you are most comfortable with/your dogs specific needs- I can provide private walks at the length of your choice/dog’s ability, sessions of fetch or pup playdates in my large fenced in yard. My dog is submissive and very accepting of all dogs, which is what makes him a great foster brother! As the safety and comfort of your dog(s) is my utmost priority, any play date would be proceeded by proper introductions and proof of up to date vaccinations.
Information Anita S. would like to know about your pet
What are your dog’s favorite treats! Do they have any allergies of environmental origin or food sensitivities? Does your dog experience any triggers to sounds, movement, objects, weather, other dogs, ect. Does your dog tire easily? What are your dog’s daily potty habits? Does your dog like water play? Who is your dog’s vet/emergency contact. Does your dog have a timid or robust personality? Is your dog fearful of new people? Does your dog enjoy play with other dogs? Does your dog have any health concerns/need medication? What is your dog’s favorite pastime? Please show me your dog’s favorite toys! An outline of their day routine and anything else you want me to know!!
A typical day
It’s all up to the dog’s needs! A nice destination walk in one of Rochester’s beautiful parks or along a waterway is a preferred activity! Afterwards let’s fuel the body with a treat centered training activity. Fetch for dogs that need to run it out. “Find it” is a great game for mental stimulation! Of course there will be time for snuggles. On rainy days there is still plenty of fun to be had with puzzle toys, tug and lots more snuggles!

Pet care experience
Hello! I’m so excited to meet you and your doggo! With nearly 15 years of experience volunteering in animal shelters, animals rescues and fostering dogs I am well equipped to work with dogs of all temperaments. The first several years of fostering I solely focused on behavioral cases, working with dogs on reactivity and leash manners. My experience spans ages 8 weeks to seniors and weights itty bitty to 120+ pounds. Those close to me will say I’m “a dog whisperer” as I typically can win over even very selective dogs. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life and I continue to enjoy meeting furry friends wherever I go!
Reviews

Anita is so great! She is knowledgeable and helpful. While she is at the house she is very communicative and sends updates and pictures. I feel so comfortable having her take care of my dog!

Anita is great! Felt extremely comfortable leaving my dogs with her. She provided lots of updates and provided fantastic care.

Anita was timely, communicative, and my pup loves her! Sent great photos and gave a thorough description of the walk. 10/10 would book again!
Anita's attention to detail really put my mind at ease while I was out of town. My dog is 5 years old and has a chronic herniated disc so he requires a little extra love and activity restrictions. She told me she had extensive experience fostering dogs and that experience really shined with my dog. She sent me updates via text and photos. I would trust her over and over again with my differently abled dog.
