Highlights
Pet care experience
Loving fur-cuddle buddy with a calm
I have many years of hands-on experience caring for pets and homes for friends and family. Pet sitting has always come naturally to me — I genuinely enjoy getting to know each animal, earning their trust, understanding their routines, and caring for them in a way that feels calm and respectful. I’ve cared for a wide range of animals, including cats and dogs of different personalities and energy levels. I love taking dogs for walks, spending quiet time with cats, and providing plenty of affection, comfort, and reassurance while their owners are away. In addition to cats and dogs, I’ve also cared for rabbits (including daily cleaning), fish, reptiles, and even a snake, which involved feeding and maintaining proper care routines. I grew up in the countryside, so I’m familiar with farm life and the responsibility that comes with caring for animals consistently and attentively. When caring for a home, I’m tidy, respectful, and mindful of routines. I understand that pets are family members, and I take pride in providing them with safe, loving, and dependable care so owners can travel with complete peace of mind.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I care for pets in their own home, where they feel safest and most relaxed. I follow all routines and instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications if required, and household rules. I keep the home tidy and secure, respect privacy, and ensure pets are supervised, comfortable, and never left in unsafe situations. I believe consistency, calm energy, and attentiveness are key to building trust with both pets and homeowners.
Ratings and reviews
Anita came from Canada to England in early November and stayed through early December 2025, during which time she looked after our home for four weeks while we were on holiday. In addition to caring for our two young, very energetic Labradors, Anita also took responsibility for our boutique bed and breakfast business, which we left entirely in her care. This included welcoming guests, cleaning and preparing rooms, and ensuring everything ran smoothly in our absence. We felt completely comfortable entrusting her with both our home and our guests. Our Labradors require a great deal of exercise and attention. They needed at least two hours of walking each day, along with plenty of play and interaction. Anita handled this with ease — taking them on long daily walks, playing fetch with them regularly, and keeping them happy, entertained, and well stimulated. Throughout our time away, Anita kept us regularly updated with messages and photos, which gave us real peace of mind. The dogs always looked relaxed, content, and very well cared for. Alongside her other responsibilities, Anita also helped care for our garden and greenhouse. As it was late November, we hadn’t yet finished clearing the beds and greenhouse from the summer season. In her spare time, Anita cleared out old plants, pulled weeds, tidied the beds, and left everything clean and well prepared. This was entirely unexpected and very much appreciated. Our home was beautifully looked after, communication was excellent throughout, and everything ran seamlessly while we were away. Most importantly, our dogs were genuinely loved and treated as part of the family. We were so impressed with Anita’s care, reliability, and initiative that we have already offered to pay for her flight from Canada to England for her to return and stay with us again in 2026. We would wholeheartedly recommend Anita to anyone looking for a responsible, capable, and genuinely caring house and dog sitter.

Schedule
I’m currently transitioning into civilian life after retiring from the Canadian military and am studying online, which gives me a flexible and predictable schedule. This allows me to be present for pets throughout the day, maintain feeding and walking routines, and spend quality time providing companionship, play, and calm supervision. I’m happy to adapt my routine to match your pet’s usual schedule so they feel secure and comfortable.

- I’d love to know your pet’s diet and feeding routine, personality, favourite activities, toys and places to walk. Every pet is different—some are crazy about playing ball, while others are happiest having a lazy afternoon! Please tell me about their little quirks too: Do they hate the rain? Need encouragement to go outside? Have a favourite walking route or special routine? Most importantly, tell me what makes your pet happy. I want them to feel comfortable, understood, and at home while you’re away.
