I’ve always enjoyed spending time with animals, and becoming a pet sitter felt like a natural extension of that. I grew up in a house full of animals — hamsters, birds, dogs and cats — and I was very involved in taking care of them from a young age. I also spent three years in the UK taking care of my host family’s dog, including daily 1-hour walks, feeding, and making sure he felt comfortable and well looked after. This also meant handling the less glamorous parts of the job, giving him medication when needed and dealing with the occasional “unexpected” mess. This made me confident in managing day-to-day care with patience and a sense of humour. I’m used to following instructions carefully, whether it’s specific diets, giving tablets when needed, or adapting to particular habits. I’m also comfortable with both energetic pets who need long walks and more relaxed or shy animals who just need company and reassurance. I’m reliable, patient, and attentive, and I genuinely enjoy the time I spend with animals.

When caring for pets in an owner’s home, I always try to maintain their normal routine as closely as possible so they feel safe, relaxed and comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow all instructions carefully regarding feeding, fresh water, litter cleaning, medication if needed, and daily habits. I also make sure they receive attention and companionship based on their personality — whether they enjoy playing and cuddles or simply prefer calm company and quiet supervision. I pay close attention to their behaviour and well-being to make sure they are happy and comfortable while their owner is away. I respect the owner’s home, keep everything clean and tidy, and provide regular updates and photos for reassurance and peace of mind.

Schedule
As I am currently not working, I have a very flexible schedule and plenty of time to dedicate to pet care throughout the day and week. This allows me to adapt to each cat’s routine and needs, whether that means regular visits, feeding schedules, playtime, or simply providing companionship and attention. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, so pet care easily fits into my daily routine. I can also be available during weekdays, weekends, and holidays, which gives owners extra flexibility and peace of mind while they are away.
