I work from home and my flexible schedule allows me to provide plenty of attention, potty breaks and playtime to pets throughout the day. I lead an active lifestyle with 10-15k steps each day during the week and outdoor activities on the weekend, rain or shine. Whether your pet prefers adventure, playtime, or just relaxing with company nearby, I can tailor their care to match their individual personality and routine. 🐕🦺 🐈

I live in a spacious, clean, non-smoking two-level home with both a front and back yard. There is lots of room for pets to walk about and stretch their legs indoors if it's too hot outside for a walk, and lots of corners for cozy naps. The house is a new construction (1 year old) with a brand new working HVAC system, so the house is kept cool at 19 degrees Celsius in the summer for dogs with a thick coat, and regulated for winter as well. I am located directly across from Shannon Park, with access to beautiful walking routes, the Greenway, and a dog-friendly neighbourhood. My neighbours and the neighbourhood in general is very quiet, with lots of family residential homes and wide lawns and sidewalks with plenty of room. For bedtime, pets can sleep on their dog bed and/or with me in my room. It just depends on what you/they prefer. Usually for first nights I monitor how they do, and how their comfort levels are. If they have a bed at home, I recommend bringing it for some comfort and familiarity. Growing up, my family pets have been (2) Tabby cats, (3) German Shepherds, (1) Pitbull, (2) Saint Bernards, (2) Boxers, (1) Dachshund and (1) Shiba Inu and many rescues inbetween! I have experience caring for them on a daily basis, as well as their pups. They have had various health issues where I have administered medication, including one of my asthmatic cats who needed an inhaler and daily steroids. I am comfortable trimming kitty claws, brushing coats, and will notice if something seems amiss with your pets behaviour health-wise. I am well used to reading pets' body language and needs, whether they are anxious, excited to play, nervous, shy or stressed. I have an F150 truck that comes in handy for any vet appointments or trips to the dog park. If I ever leave the house to run errands, I take the pet I am sitting with me so they are not alone, unless you are ok with them spending time on their own at home.

Wake up time during the week is 6:30-7:30am, and I take pets out to the backyard first thing for a washroom break and sunbathe while I have my coffee. Then we have breakfast and get ready for a longer walk in the morning while it's still cool, around 30-40 mins. I will either take them to walk the Greenway trail, play fetch in the large park across the street (if they are sociable with other dogs), or take them around the neighbourhood. We'll go on a few 20-min potty breaks during the day and then another long walk after dinner when it cools off, usually 1.5 hours long. We will practice basic commands and spend plenty of time "doom-sniffing" and exploring the hood. On the weekend, I like to take pets hiking, usually starting with a small trail like Quarry Rock, Dog Mountain (Seymour) or Lynn Valley. Otherwise we will still get plenty of time outdoors with long walks, trips to dog parks or Kits Dog Beach. If requested (or after a muddy hike or beach run), I am happy to bathe your pet. Just remember to pack any shampoo or product your pet is compatible with, otherwise I have a standard oat-based pet shampoo I can use as a substitute. Before bed, I will brush their teeth and we will wind down with low lighting and calm activities, as I usually study for an hour before lights out.

Anisa did great with our older malinois Skye. She was understanding of her quirks and our instructions and was super communicative through Skye's stay. Skye was happy and calm when I picked her up and seemed to have a good time with Anisa. Would highly recommend her!
I had a great experience leaving my Alaskan Malamute with Ani for a week. I was a little nervous leaving my dog for that long, but Ani was very reliable and made me feel confident that my dog was being well taken care of. She provided regular photos and updates, which was really appreciated and helped me stay connected while I was away. It was clear that she was attentive, responsible, and genuinely cared about my dog’s needs. I trust Ani completely and would feel comfortable leaving my dog with her again. She is dependable, caring, and I will definitely be coming back to her whenever I need someone to look after my dog. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!
Ani was absolutely fantastic with my dogs, Olly and Benji. From the moment I met her, it was clear how much she genuinely cares about animals. She kept me updated throughout with photos and messages, which gave me real peace of mind while I was away. Olly and Benji were both happy, relaxed, and clearly well looked after when I got back. It’s not always easy leaving your dogs with someone else, but Ani made the whole experience stress-free. I wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy pet sitter. Thanks again, Ani!

Anisa was extremely responsive, flexible, and easy to communicate with throughout the process. Most importantly, it was clear that my dog was comfortable with her and had a great time while in her care! It’s always reassuring to know your dog is happy and well looked after, and I felt confident leaving him with her. I would definitely recommend her to others looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter!
