Service dog trainer sits your pet
I just moved back to Colorado from Southern CA where I used work for a non-profit where I train dogs to become service dogs for individuals with disabilities! I can handle large groups of dogs and love giving special attention to any pet :) I had cats and dogs growing up and during college, I watched many of my friends’ dogs for a few hours, up to a few weeks. ** message me if you have scheduling questions! I can be more accommodating than this app’s calendar :)

Safety, trust & environment
I will keep dogs on leash unless in a trusted, enclosed area. For safety reasons, I will not be using a Flexi-leash. I will always make sure your pet has ample clean water. I am more than happy to send photos and updates on your pet while they're in my care! As of July 12, I am certified in Cat and Dog First Aid from the American Red Cross, and for my job, I have been trained to be alert to allergic reactions and typical dog stats.

Anika has been my go-to sitter for years! She is reliable and my dogs absolutely love her. She takes the time to get to know the dogs as individuals and adjusts however is necessary to their needs. Her experience as a puppy raiser for canine companions gives me peace of mind knowing that she is an experienced dog handler. Anika is the best!
I would highly recommend Anika as a dog sitter or walker! Anika has been watching my dogs for a few years now and I always know they are safe and well taken care of in her care. She does well one-on-one and with multiple dogs, capable of meeting their physical and mental needs with patience and enthusiasm! I can’t say enough good things about Anika as a Loving Dog Caregiver. I have entrusted my dogs to her care and guidance for training dogs for many years. I have seen her skills as she has been a puppy raiser for Canine Companions. She understands dogs and really “sees” the dog for who they are. Anyone who is lucky enough to have their dogs stay with Anika will be very happy. 100% recommend.

Schedule
I work full-time, so I am looking to help watch pets on weekends and over the upcoming winter holiday season. I am comfortable staying at a client's home and doing longer-term pet care as long as the animal can be alone during the day for an 8 hour work day. If your home is near Oceanside, I can stop in during my lunch break to let your pets out to toilet.
