I like animals more than most ppl
Hey there! My name’s Anika and I love spending my time with animals. :) I’ve been pet-sitting for the past year or so for different people in my neighborhood and have helped so, sooo many animals and people with their pets over the course of my life! I started asking myself what field of work I could see myself doing regularly while also working on the skills I’d like to develop, and being around and taking care of animals wins every time. My family in Chicago adopted my dog over 10 years ago now, I adopted a cat that I’ve had with me in LA for the last 2 years and I grew up with birds! I even had a fish for a very brief period of time before passing it along to someone else. Ensuring that my pets are always safe is my no.1 priority, I am constantly googling things to make sure everything is alright and up-to-date with them. I also work mostly from home- I own my own Airbnb business which I can do from anywhere which allows me to be at home with them often. I am also a musician so have to travel for that from time to time, but usually not for extended periods of time, just for a few hours in the day/ night. I love nature and all living things and will do everything in my power to make sure your babies are happy, safe and entertained with me!

I am able to stay anywhere for any period of time as long as I am able to earn more than my monthly rent during said duration. I live with my cat in an apartment with 3 other roommates, a dog and another cat. I’m able to have pets here during the day time because we have a backyard, movie room, gym and co-working space but it gets challenging at night because there’s not really a place for them to sleep since my cat sleeps in my room. I’m down to do absolutely anything it takes to make sure that your loved one is okay while you’re away.

Anika was amazing with Lola! She walked Lola in the morning and at night for us. I was a bit worried since Lola didn’t know her and it was their first time meeting, but Anika brought her experience and skills working with dogs. Lola went with her without any issues, and everything went smoothly. I would highly recommend Anika!
Anika was amazing! Very communicative and willing to work with us with our time. Sabbie had a wonderful time. We forgot to bring a poopy bag, and she offered us her extra -life saver! Would book her again next time we’re in LA 🫶

Anika was great and will definitely use her again! She was on time, stayed later than she needed to (I told her she could leave because the dogs would be okay to be alone an hour) she send updates, took pictures, she asked about the dogs paws because it was hot outside and did her own research to see if it was suitable for them to walk and how long. She asked about which treats and which toys for each of my dogs too. A lucky find
Anika was great! On time, sent plenty of updates and took pictures. She was on time and stayed a little later even though I said she could leave. She was detailed oriented and asked permission about things like how long to walk my dogs in the heat. Very happy to have found her

Schedule
As of right now, I take care of animals whenever a pet parent needs me to. I’ve been taking care of the animals in my family ever since we got our first pet 10 years ago and I got into pet sitting through helping my neighbors over the past year whenever they needed someone to walk/ feed/ play or sleep with their baby. The first baby I started to watch on a regular basis was for my upstairs neighbor Kate’s dog, Mo. Her frenchie is the sweetest boy ever. On top of going on 3 daily walks, we went on hikes, I took him to the dog park, fed him salmon, put in his ear medicine nightly and massaged his hind legs. When we weren’t outside or playing some sort of game/ activity, we were just chilling with one another while I worked on my laptop. I’m able to be with your pet as much as needed, and more than just take care of them, I make sure to bond with every animal I interact with and give them plenty of love so they don’t feel the lack of your presence 🥺 At the end of the day, they’re all just lil babies.

- If your pets need any sort of medication in order to be healthy or any sort of routine that helps them feel safe when you’re away, please let me know in advance and I promise to implement everything you mention. My care for all living things goes beyond any expectation you may have as it’s instinctual to my personality. I have a very deep and caring aura dedicated to making sure every animal in my care feels the safest they possibly could. I have even rescued a few wild animals completely on my own that were either injured/ too tired to fly, walk, etc. My attention to detail ensures that in my hands, your pets are going to be the happiest and safest they could possibly be without their parents around.
