Ania saved my cat’s life! Last summer I went back to China to see my parents, and I asked Ania to take care of my cat for the duration of my trip. I knew her through my best friend, but frankly me and Ania have only met a few times before this. I knew she had three cats at home so I trust that she would do a good job taking care of my cat, but I still was a little worried since I didn’t know her that well. Before I was gone I brought my cat over to her place along with everything she needs, cat litter, litter box, food, bowls, etc. After I was gone Ania would text me pictures of my cat everyday, and things are looking great. My cat is usually afraid of strangers but he liked Ania a lot, and got very comfortable with her in just a few days. However, one morning (which was afternoon in California time) she texted me and said that my cat has been meowing a lot that day, and she suspects that something might be wrong. I had never seen anything like this before, and since it was also Fourth of July in the US, I thought it might be the fireworks that’s scaring the cat. I didn’t thought much about it. But later in the evening, Ania texted me again saying that she’s been monitoring my cat closely, and noticed that my cat has been spending significantly longer time in his litter box. And only about half an hour later she texted me again saying that she’s already on her way to the emergency vet, because my cat started breathing heavily. While she’s at the vet she would update me on how my cat was doing every 10 minutes, and when finally the doctor came and took an X-ray, I saw that my cat’s bladder was completely full. In fact, the doctor said that had she brought him in a little later his bladder could have exploded and he would have died. Urinary obstruction is no joke, and it could develop for just about any reason. My cat was hospitalized for a few days and released shortly, and has been completely healthy since then. I am immensely grateful for the way Ania handled the situation (I one hundred percent could not have handled it so quickly and calmly had I been in that situation), and we became very good friends since then! (Of course I compensated her handsomely after I got back, as she rightly deserves). Given what I have said above, i think Ania would make an excellent pet sitter for the following reasons: 1. She would love and take care of your pets just like she would her own, and she knows how to make your cats/dogs like her! 2. She is highly observant. I would probably not have noticed something wrong with my cat so quickly. This is a skill one can only acquire through taking care of animals from a young age. She’s always had cats from when she was very little (now she has three). 3. Even when things are urgent, she stays calm and is able to act quickly. My cat would have surely died had she not been so quick and decisive in taking my cat to emergency. 4. She is very responsible. She canceled all her plans on Fourth of July because she noticed something wrong with my cat. And in the middle of the night (it was 1 am) she got up and rushed my cat to emergency. After this she even went to my house and carried the cat tree back to her place so my cat would feel more at home. 5. She would text me everyday and keep me constantly updated on how my cat is doing (is he eating/peeing/pooping well, etc.)

Ania was very good to my dog, she’d play with him, would take my dog out for long walks by the park or ocean and he LOVED her

Ania Z. helped me take care of my cat whenever I was not home, and she did a phenomenal job of taking care of my cat.
