STAR SITTER - Ret. Police officer.
Pet care experience
STAR SITTER - I’m a retired police officer with a lifelong passion for animals and a professional background managing dog trainers. From a young age, I’ve lived with and cared for dogs and cats of every size — small, medium, large, and giant breeds. I’ve successfully raised and managed households where cats and dogs live happily together, enjoying walks and play as a pack. I offer a safe, secure, and highly attentive environment for your pets. Whether you prefer me to board them at my home or house sit at yours, you can trust your animals are in calm, experienced, and capable hands. I’m a gentle giant who genuinely loves animals and treats every pet as if it were my own. My Home & Setup I live in a spacious home with a large, fully fenced and secure garden in Lytham St. Anne’s. I have one small, friendly dog who is very sociable with both dogs and cats and provides excellent company for visiting pets. My household is calm, clean, and loving — the perfect stress-free environment for your dog or cat. As I’m fully retired, I’m available 24/7 with advance notice and can offer flexible care tailored to your needs. I’m happy to board up to four animals at once. Training & Care With my background in dog training management, I can provide light, positive reinforcement training if desired (this is optional and only offered to a small number of clients). I focus on clear communication, structure, and kindness. Please tell me about your pet’s specific needs in advance so I can prepare: favourite foods, toys, treats, exercise preferences, any medications, and what motivates them best (a ball on the beach, a favourite toy, or gentle praise). I’m happy to follow your exact routine and instructions. Additional charge of £5 per day applies for dogs requiring medication administration. Your pet’s safety, happiness, and wellbeing are my top priorities. Many years of police service taught me the importance of responsibility, attention to detail, and earning trust — values I bring to every booking. I look forward to caring for your beloved pets and giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away. Woof! 🐾

Reviews
Angus looked after my precious baby boy and kept him company while I took a rare evening away from him to attend an important event. I hate to leave him, but felt so confident and reassured by Angus’s capability and experience and he really ensured that my nerves were kept at bay and I could go out and have a good time. I am so grateful. My little lad was so relaxed in Angus’s company that he pretty much slept the whole time and Angus kept me updated throughout. Until next time!

Angus is a lovely man who knows about dogs and judging by the pictures Angus sent our tilly has had an enjoyable stay.
Angus kept my super high energy Velcro boy calm, occupied and safe when I had to leave him for the evening, which is no mean feat! I truly hate to be without him and just the thought of it makes me feel anxious, but I was able to go out and enjoy myself knowing that he was going to be well cared for and properly looked after. He didn’t even really notice that I was gone at all! Thank you again for being a trusted pair of hands to mind the most precious thing in my life.

Angus was just who we needed in an emergency situation. He agreed to take my booking at short notice due to my Mother in Law having a fall and her two dogs needing care. He asked lots of questions to ensure they had everything they needed for a safe, happy transition and cared for them like his own. The dogs had never been away from their owner but I know they were very happy with Angus on their holiday.
