Availability
I work part-time, with the days I work varying weekly. That means, week to week my schedule is very flexible—please don’t hesitate to reach out to see if I’m free! I’ll always have some time each week to work with you! I like make sure doggies get at least 1 good walk per day. Feeding wise, I try to follow the pet’s normal routine per owner instructions, as I know some react poorly to being fed at different times than they’re used to.

Before house sitting or dropping in to check on the pet in a home, I would “interview” the owner a bit to get a sense of the pet’s normal behavior around the house: what they can and can’t do, signs that could potentially mean they are anxious or afraid, how do they normally spend their day, things like that. When visiting, I keep in mind that information to make sure it aligns with what I see and do. Furthermore, if something is different from normal, I can contact owners immediately. Regardless, I’ll keep the owner updated and try to follow their normal routine as best I can, and send them pictures of their happy friend :)
Information Angie R. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if any special needs, concerns, or behaviors your pet has. It will keep me best informed while taking care of them. Ex: medications, reactivity to other dogs when on walks, leash pulling, resource guarding, etc.
A typical day
One of my favorite things to do is take dogs to parks where they go on a nice walk amidst lots of greenery and smells. Smelling is how dogs best sense the world, and I believe having more exposure to it allows them to be more mentally stimulated. If there is a secure area (preferably private from other dogs for safety) I love letting dogs run free for a bit. Expel their zoomies, get that rush from running free, and then panting with their mouth wide open, tongue hanging out. If they enjoy toys, then of course we will play with toys too!

Pet care experience
I’ve been working with animals since I was six—I grew up on my family farm surrounded with a variety of livestock. Even at a young age I was committed to making sure the animals felt loved and were taken care of, although the extent of my care taking abilities then was bringing them water or building them flower crowns. I had 9 dogs growing up, three of which were puppies that were born and raised with us, and nothing brought me more joy then having them as companions in my childhood. As a college student, my particular love for dogs continued as I became a seasoned foster parent. I have fostered 9 dogs, some having severe anxiety, medical disabilities, and slightly aggressive tendencies. Of these dogs, there were 3 puppies and 1 senior dog. I diligently gave all the pups attention according to their schedules, and made sure to allot time in the day to exercise, play, and relax with them. When I wasn’t fostering, I took shelter dogs out on day trips, bringing them on long walks on nature trails or just to play in a park. I truly believe domestic dogs are one of the greatest blessings we have in our lives. They love so unconditionally, and they deserve the world. I will do my best to make sure they are given that until your return.
Reviews

Angie provided wonderful care for our two dogs, both of which have their own quirks (one is a senior dog with anxiety during thunderstorms and the other is a sassy velcro dog). She was extremely communicative and gave us complete peace of mind knowing our fur babies were well cared for while we were away. She also took amazing care of our house and left it very tidy upon leaving. We would highly recommend Angie to anyone looking for caring, quality pet sitting.

Angie communicated often and did a great job with our gang!

Angie once again did a fantastic job keeping me and my family comfortable while we were an ocean away from our boy. The wonderfully shot pictures and frequent updates gave us total peace of mind

Angie was great! Our dog took to her immediately. She provided updates with pictures and kept the house clean. Would absolutely book Angie again!
