Safety, trust & environment

I treat every pet in my care like they're part of the family — because to me, they are. My approach centers on routine and reassurance: I stick closely to each pet's normal schedule (feeding times, walks, playtime) so they feel secure even when their owner isn't around. Responsibility is huge for me — I'm attentive to any specific care instructions, medications, or quirks each pet has, and I always keep owners updated with photos and messages so they can relax knowing their pet is happy and safe. In my own home, pets have a comfortable, secure space with constant supervision, and in a client's home, I respect their space while keeping the same consistent, loving care I'd give my foster dogs. At the end of the day, I want every pet to feel loved, comfortable, and excited to see me — and I want every owner to feel completely at ease while they're away.

Information Angie K. would like to know about your pet

Before caring for someone else's pet, I like to know as much as possible so I can keep them safe, comfortable, and happy. A few key things I always ask about: Health and medical needs – Any medications, allergies, or health conditions I should be aware of, plus vet contact info in case of an emergency. Feeding routine – What, when, and how much they eat, along with any food allergies or treats that are off-limits. Behavior and temperament – Are they shy around strangers, reactive to other animals, prone to escaping, or perfectly easygoing? Knowing their personality helps me approach them the right way from the start. Exercise and energy level – How much activity they're used to, and whether they have favorite walks, toys, or games. Comfort items and routines – Favorite blankets, crate training habits, or bedtime routines that help them feel secure. Household rules – Things like furniture boundaries, off-limit rooms, or specific commands they respond to. Emergency contacts – Backup contact info (owner, vet, and a nearby trusted friend or family member) just in case. Taking the time to learn these details upfront means I can step into a pet's routine smoothly, reduce their stress, and give owners real peace of mind while they're away.

A typical day

I'm active and playful by nature, so I make sure pets get plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, whether that's a good long walk, a game of fetch, or just some quality couch time if that's more their speed. I will want to know if there are specific commands your dog knows so I can reinforce that while we exercise and interact.

Pet care experience

Hi there! I've been a dog person my whole life — I grew up with dogs and have raised five of my own as an adult. In 2025, I started volunteering at a local animal shelter, where I help with events and foster dogs in need. That experience deepened my love for animals and inspired me to offer extra support to pet owners when they're away. I'd love to meet your pets and help make your time apart as easy as possible!

Angie has watched our dog for us several times. She is a midwest girl with a huge heart for dogs. She is so good with them and very attentive. I would definately recommend her to anyone. She is timely, responsible, and loves to walk them.
