Hi, my name is Angharad and I’m from Wales in the UK. Throughout my life, I have cared for friends and family members pets, taking dogs for walks, feeding and playing with cats, feeding and cleaning out rabbits, chickens and feeding sheep, horses and pigs. I absolutely love interacting with animals! I have a degree in Animal Behaviour and have various work experience including working at rescue centres, looking after pets at the vets, assisting with puppy classes and helping at an elephant orphanage in Sri Lanka. I now work for Guide Dogs, an assistance dogs charity that helps visually impaired people with independent mobility. I train dogs from 12 months the guiding task to guide someone who is blind or visually impaired. I am a qualified dog care and welfare assistant, guide dog trainer and guide dog mobility specialist. I have experience with reactive dogs, separation anxiety, recall issues and I always use positive training methods. I have cared for numerous guide dogs in my home over the last 10 years to assess their social behaviour. I am very comfortable with dogs and love giving them fuss, taking them for walks and providing them with enrichment. I am frequently asked to care for friends and family members pets along with house sitting as I am reliable, trustworthy and love caring for animals. I am often asked back to the homes as I keep everything tidy and send updates to the owners. I frequently look after someone’s cat (Cleo) in my village who is nervous of people but she comes out and interacts with me often and I love her to bits! I have also completed dog and cat sits in Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm and London. These were amazing experiences and I would love to do more!
