I’ve been caring for dogs since I was a kid, and I’ve always treated my own pups like my babies. I’m comfortable with medications, medical treatments, and special-needs care, and I’m definitely no stranger to the unexpected! My previous dogs gave me lots of experience with reactive dogs and dogs with health issues, which taught me to be patient, observant, and flexible with every dog’s individual needs. I love getting to know each pet’s personality and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while they’re in my care. I’m also known to share tips or advice from my own experiences if it’s helpful!

Schedule
Both my husband and I work fully remote from home, so there is almost always someone around! Our home is very dog-friendly, and my office is basically a dog’s dream room—with plenty of comfy spaces to relax and a big window for watching the world go by. We’re able to step away from our desks throughout the day for walks, playtime, cuddles, potty breaks, or even some work time outside.

We have a fully fenced in brick patio home with a secure gate and added reinforcement for smaller pups. Our yard has plenty of room to sniff and explore, and our home is already very dog-proofed, it’s their house, we just live here. Dogs are welcome on the couch, bed, and all the cozy spots! We also have a large crate if your pup prefers one. If they’re nervous or need some space, I can easily separate them in another room with a gate. My own dogs are very used to being around other dogs and are friendly and adaptable with new furry friends.

A typical day
Our day starts with an early morning potty break, breakfast, some time outside sniffing and being on neighborhood watch. We will have a daily walk based on your pup’s normal routine, activity level, and the weather—and if they’re used to more walks, we’re happy to do more! Our neighborhood has plenty of shade, grass, and a large field for exploring. Throughout the day, there are plenty of potty breaks, fresh air, playtime with my dogs, toys, or quiet time if they prefer to relax. After dinner, we wind down on the couch with lots of cuddles and pets. At bedtime, they can sleep wherever they’re most comfortable—dog bed, couch, or even with me in my bed.

- Tell me all about your pup’s normal routine! Their feeding schedule, exercise, sleeping habits, quirks, favorite activities, and anything else that makes them feel at home. I want to keep their routine as close to normal as possible because I know change can be hard, especially when they’re in a new environment. The more I know about their usual routine and preferences, the more I can make their stay feel like a little home away from home.
