Pet care experience
Love coffee, dog smiles, & outdoors
Hi. Please call me Angie! 😊 🐾 I’ve been surrounded by pets since a small child, from city to country life, dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, bunnies, amphibians, fish, feathered friends, farm animals, etc. I have been lucky to be loved by dogs my entire life, and there would be a huge void without them. My ultimate dream would be to have my own rescue and take in a ridiculous amount of pets needing love, care, and attention. I have watched friends’ and family’s pets and owned many sizes, breeds, and temperaments of dogs but am particularly a lover of northern breeds! I have even bred and raised a few litters of huskies and kept many of them as well. Of course, my favorite color is husky fur! Last year, I rescued a dog for the first time and this experience has taught me a lot about distressed, high anxiety, and untrained dogs that come with unknown traumas, fears, and unique needs. A lot of the dogs in my care here in Eugene are also rescues or have low socialization or energy, so I have a lot of patience, love, and understanding to help them be comfortable and have fun in my home. I have “survived” (ha!) through the distinct trials and joys that come with puppies learning manners, boundary-pushing dogs in their teens, and persnickety, tired, or low-energy senior dogs, as well as high-energy dogs, escape artists, dominant mama dogs, dogs afraid of water or grooming, submissive fur babies always in need of a pack and a leader. And I have been patient with or found humor in every behavioral quirk and unique personality trait. I love to bike-jour, swim, paddle, camp, and adventure with my dogs just as much as I love snuggling inside, watching them sleep while grabbing cameos, playing with them one on one, basking in the sunshine and playing with or in water, and frequenting local parks to see them socialize and get their zoomies out. I also like to play fetch and brain games with those dogs needing a little “extra” stimulation. I don’t flinch from caring for large groups of dogs simultaneously, dog nose art, dogs with special needs, or even naughty by nature fur babies (my kids might say I have a knack for picking these more spirited and escapist dogs). I have cared for two pets with chronic illnesses who required special diets and administering of meds and IVs so am not fearful of caring for your own pets if they have special needs. And I have had to manage through vet emergencies for my own dogs and urgencies for some in my care, and making decisions about/coping through the pain of the rainbow bridge.

Ratings and reviews
Angie has a great setup for dogs and was good with update texts and photos. Our rescue Goose hasn't been boarded since we got her so Angie suggested a trial daycare before a week long vacation. Goose came home from that happy and we feel good about longer stays here knowing Goose will be comfortable and cared for.

We have an anxious boy who can have a tough time with separation, but he had a great time at Angie’s! We got lots of photos and updates, and he came home tired from all the playing he did with the other dogs. He even ate some of his food while he was there (unusual for him in new places). Angie was also flexible and understanding when we had a couple unexpected changes of plans, which we greatly appreciated. Thanks Angie!

We have never really had to board our dog before, but we felt very confident leaving her with Angeline. We were only gone a few hours but she took really good care of our fur baby!

Angeline was very good with my puppy. She gave him lots of playtime and kept up with his house training. I recommend her.

Took good care of our nervous boy!

Angie was wonderful. Took excellent care of my two dogs. They had a wonderful time with her!

I am home full time during the week and available most week days/nights and weekends. (I have the occasional errand or appointment so may have periods of time where I am away but will monitor through camera app)

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced yard and can give both indoor time and outdoor exercise or sunbathing; and I can crate your dog if or when needed. High-energy and younger dogs sometimes need naps or space from others; therefore I may separate dogs with a crate or gate (my own included). My approach with dog conflicts or “poor” behavior is the use of a spray bottle (with water and essential oils), and redirection to Sit/Stay or their Place if sent with them (blanket, bed, etc.). I separate dogs for feeding. Your pets will be safe and happy with Tahoe, Jazmine, and me; and they can relax, play outside, be fed, and get the same attention, snuggles, and care I give my own pets!

A typical day
I love to adventure with my dogs, play in water, sit in the sunshine. While we won’t necessarily do that, at home we can play fetch and run around in the backyard, take neighborhood walks and bike rides if pet temperaments allow, lounge around for r&r indoors, and enjoy kongs, lick mats, puzzles, and snuffle mats for mental stimulation. I give dogs frequent back yard play time (if they want it). The dogs will enjoy off leash dog park time if time and pet quantity/behavior allows, and possible socialization trips to Home Depot. I let dogs roam freely inside even after bedtime but have plenty of different crate styles if your pet needs to den in a crate overnight. I have a dog run area specifically for potty and yard entrance and exit for hygiene purposes, and sanitize at least weekly.
- 0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsUnspayed females accepted, neutered males onlyNo females in heatAngeline can host up to 3 pets per night
- All pets in my care (by the time of care) must be current on flea preventative (natural or otherwise) and ideally vaccines (primarily for rabies, and bordetella/kennel cough risk prevention). I do not require but prefer to have meet and greets in advance of bookings for new dogs. I can be flexible on this if you are in a time crunch, feel confident in your dog settling in well to a new environment, etc. I will consider unneutered male dogs and female dogs in heat based upon age, size, duration of stay, and temperament. Please make sure your vet info. is provided before your stay or at first drop off; and at/by the first care day, also let me know if you or your dog have special circumstances, if there are rules about play, sleep, furniture, treats, etc., food/environment allergies, and if you or your pet have scent sensitivities so that I can do my best to accommodate. Also if your dog is a sock goblin, working on an escape artist proficiency, is a plush toy murderer/nylabone mutilator, feels threatened by blenders/robot vacuum/laundry machines, kangaroo punches doors, eats leashes/harnesses/collars or seatbelts, or pulls on his leash or harness harder than a sled dog would, please let me know so I can pay special attention or make tactical provisions. 😊
